Region locking of BluRay is up to the publisher. As others have mentioned, the PS3 is region locked, however unlike DVDs, a lot of BR films are region-free, so they play on any BR player. According to http://regionfreemovies.com/, the one you ordered is region-free, so you ought to be fine. Just check before you buy something, but in my observations a lot more US releases are region-free than the EU ones for some reason. |
Thanks didnt think about checking this. Somehow i thought that you could play any game or blu ray on Ps3. Good to know for the future shopping. This time I was lucky.
DLC is only sometimes region l;ocked its a gamble it depends on the game i bought just cause 2 from the uk and imported to new zealand uk is region 2 and were region 4 and the free dlc for the pink truck worked in game but when i imported raging blast from the usa it didnt work

Australia and New Zealand are the same region as Europe with Games DLC is not region locked to DVD regions.

DVD region=/= PSN region. For PSN region we (Aussie & NZ) are "Europe". For DVD's / Blu-ray movies/TV shows we are Asia-Pacific region (4).

Are DVD regions Games are not DVD region code looked they were locked in the past to NTSC U/C, NTSC-J and PAL and AUS/NZ use the European PSN so same DLC.
