Forums - Sales - Black Ops PS3 adjusted up! First week over 4M.

Black Ops adjusted up in EMEAA. Here's Black Ops first week with Japanese data:

Week Americas Japan EMEAA Worldwide Running Total
1 1,969,865 129,317 1,913,812 4,012,994 4,012,994

Here's Reach's first week:

Week Americas Japan EMEAA Worldwide Running Total
1 3,056,170 41,716 952,085 4,049,971 4,049,971

You may be wondering why am I bringing Reach here, because I remembered a thread of a dude predicting Black Ops' first week on PS3 will be better than Reach's first week, and everyone called him a fool. Well he wasn't that far off, maybe even right considering the difficulty to track EMEAA's sales. (but because no one can be sure about that, we'll take the figures for what they are)

I hate Black Ops (but zombie mode rocks like hell) but I have to admit that its success is impressive, really really impressive. Dunno whether this is a good or a bad thing for the gaming industry and gaming itself though.

Oh btw, it seems that even Japan is slowly jumping on the FPS bandwagon.

wow it wasnt adjusted up idt, it just includes japan sales

After next quarter adjustments I can see Black Ops (PS3) > Halo: Reach.

I'm one of the one's who called him a fool... because whether the prediction would be right or wrong... doesn't matter because it's the most ridiculous and foolish prediction I've ever seen!

His fooloish prediction is still a foolish one and still a failure because there's a 360 version of this game!

360 version COD:BO =   5,362,003

PS3 version COD:BO =   4,012,994

All gaming systems, consoles/PC, have thier perks... why fight over preferences? I like Coke and you like Pepsi, that's it, let's not fight over which toy we like best cause that's what they are. Is someone's preference in a toy important or is the relationship between you and your neighbor more important? Answer is obvious, but THE most important thing is your relationship with God almighty. God Bless you in Jesus's name.

I can communicate without talking... I can send a loved one money without actually sending money... and I can commit theft without the product disappearing, the point of theft is the point of theft not one of it's possible symptoms which is the product dissappearing. The thief wants to gain something without paying for it, that's the point of theft, the thief doesn't have to care or anybody else has to care if the product dissappears. The product dissappearing is just a possible symptom of theft. Gifts are sacrfices, in order to give a gift, it has to be a genuine sacrfice/gift, meaning a copy of the game isn't still in your PC. Piracy is theft and/or being a culprit of theft.

No I recall really well that in EMEAA Black Ops had 50k more on PS3 than x360 - around 1,760,000, and now 1,913,812. And thanks I know that it includes japanese sales now, it's written in my post you know...

Ps. or it was adjusted before this week, because I'm sure that it was at 1.76M and not 1.91 in EMEAA when it was posted last week.

Wait what? -_- Who cares about the X360 version here, he was predicting the PS3 version sales compared to what Reach did - maybe that he wanted to show us how Black Ops is superior but who cares?!?!

Calmador is a Halo Fanboy

Alert!

I think it goes ahead of Halo 3 and GTA:SA ? for most sales first week.

It was adjusted when the EMEAA numbers went up.
