Black Ops adjusted up in EMEAA. Here's Black Ops first week with Japanese data:
| Week | Americas | Japan | EMEAA | Worldwide | Running Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1,969,865 | 129,317 | 1,913,812 | 4,012,994 | 4,012,994 |
Here's Reach's first week:
| Week | Americas | Japan | EMEAA | Worldwide | Running Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 3,056,170 | 41,716 | 952,085 | 4,049,971 | 4,049,971 |
You may be wondering why am I bringing Reach here, because I remembered a thread of a dude predicting Black Ops' first week on PS3 will be better than Reach's first week, and everyone called him a fool. Well he wasn't that far off, maybe even right considering the difficulty to track EMEAA's sales. (but because no one can be sure about that, we'll take the figures for what they are)
I hate Black Ops (but zombie mode rocks like hell) but I have to admit that its success is impressive, really really impressive. Dunno whether this is a good or a bad thing for the gaming industry and gaming itself though.
Oh btw, it seems that even Japan is slowly jumping on the FPS bandwagon.
