kid's movie=/=bad movie, its just that a lot of kid's films suffer from laziness.  We might have more good kid's films if Don Bluth could get some decent funding(and less of the executive meddling that his 90s movies suffered from wouldn't hurt either).  Also, people seem to forget about Pixar.  Of course people are probably talking about live action kid's film and not animation.

Of course it sucks. It's a kid's movie. But then again, let's remember that they are hardly ever good. Hoodwinked comes to mind. God that was bad. And Over the Hedge. Then let's not forget straight-to-DVD disney movies.

They're not funny nor good, so it's not much of a surprise.

what? there are tons of great animated/cgi/kids movies that appeal to everyone never heard such rubbish

you obviously just don't like them

on topic surprised it took them so long to dig up yogi bear, doesn't look too clever though, kids might like though who knows

whats with all the movie hate in here, films are great entertainment and hollywood ruining childhoods lmao

It seems interesting to me. Not gonna go see it, but it seems a little interesting.

Turn old intellectual properties into money.  Now, to pitch a movie idea, it needs to have a track record of some sort.  So, Hollywood pitches a Yogi Bear movie and other things.  I did get a few chuckles out of the trailer, but someone tell me exactly what one is supposed to do with Yogi Bear to turn it into a full movie.

Anyhow, I have to groan at some of the stuff going on.  They are doing a Cars 2 movie, and having it be a spy film.  Really, spy movie?  Can't Pixar stick to doing more stuff like Up and Wall-E and NEW titles every year?

Movies like Garfield, The Chipmunks, and other shit like that didn't look any better.

Edit: Anyone notice the casting?

Dan Aykroyd as Yogi. Its nice to see him not talking about aliens for once.

Justin Timberlake as Boo Boo? That's wacky stuff.

Oh god...how did this POS gross so much anyway...

Never underestimate the value of nostalgia, a massive marketing campaign, and the undemanding tastes of young children

95% of kid's movies suck. The sole exception is Pixar.

I wouldn't call Pixar the sole exception.  Dreamworks has an occasional great movie.  Plus, we would have a few more if Hollywood would just give Don Bluth another chance and give him funding.
