So what did you think of the new Harry potter movie. I haven't read the books, but I seen all of the movies.

terrible terrible movie. very disapointing little action, only useless character builds and plot builds which lead to no where, also their are a lot of tense moments which lead to tiny events or nothing.
but i have to hand it to them, the 3 movies were terrible even though they perfectly set the stage for the last movie, which is ery predicteble. the last movie should be great if it is anything like the 4th.

You have to understand that the movie was just one big set-up for the second half of the movie. I personally thought it was a great movie. I liked the fact that the movie did'nt really take place in the school setting. I thought it was more dark and more mature. Your right about the movie having very little action, but I thought what action it did have was amazing. I liked the progression of the character's from the first movie to this movie, plus you have Emma Watson, you can't really go wrong with that. I don't mean to ramble, but I personally loved the movie. lol
Makes up for the disappointment that was the 6th movie, seriously my favourite book out of all of em got such a meh film
Anyway this movie goes into one of the middle tiers of HP movies for me.....it was a good film......far from the best Harry Potter, but also far from the worst Harry Potter.
It really does set up the next HP movie which could be the greatest yet.

the 4 first movies had epic sceenes and some action, they are not action movies, but i expect to see something excited going on. ofcourse its sets the last movie, thats whats wrong with the harry potter franchise, the 5th 6th and 7th movies do that. also most of what harry and the gang accomplished got ruined at the end. it sets up perfectly the last movie but ruins itself.

It was the best one in the series. As I said in another thread, everything was improved from the last movies in the series. I didn't laugh at any of the action scenes because of how compelling they were, the character building and acting was great and the settings are fantastic. Overall, the cast have matured and I can now appreciate a Harry Potter movie as a movie and not as glorified book adaptation.
I'd give it a 9/10
I'd also like to point out that I re-watched all the Harry Potter films before I went to see Deathly Hallows and anyone who thinks this one is extremely inferior to the older movies is just basing their opinion of Deathly Hallows on nostalgia. I seriously cringed during Philosophers Stone, Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix.
Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
Nothing. Mainly because the 6th sucked so badly that I won't be spending money on this one and I'll just download it.
It sucked, it fell very very very short of the book, worst hp movie by far
Terrible... terrible...
I've reread the series twice, and DH is my favorite book. It was fucking horrible, the movie.
Do you know what the book had? Emotion.
Do you know what the movie has? No emotion.
