^ I agree with I love Giggs.
It's like they're trying to create a new section in the market.
Next year tittle that will sell over 75k :

* Blue Dragon 2
* Dead or alive 5
* Ninja Gaiden 2
* Infinite Indiscovery
* Idolm@ster 2
* Mass Effect
* Devil May Cry 4
* Bioshock

LOL. Good luck Microsoft but Japan say you suck no matter what you do. Enjoy the wasted money and I will laugh.

Devil May Cry will not sell on the 360 and Microsoft have a shit show of establishing the hardcore in Japan unless they can convince S-E to drop FFXIII on the PS3 and make it 360 exclusive.

"the BLOCKBUSTER Blue dragon"

gimme a break...lol

ON TOPIC:

I admire M$ for all their effort in Japan, it's a like a dog going back to a home where it's kicked out of....
Blue dragon is a new IP how can you expect a tittle to sell millions of games?
Give the game a bit of credit !

I think Japan is a waste of time for Microsoft, they should focus on taking Europe since they do have a fighting chance there.

Why do you always come to the Xbox 360 new section every-time I read something from you I get annoyed.

I mean I love Gigs is wright the 360 sold 30k more than last year at the moment.

Continue with the JRPGS, however move some effort into europe where it might actually work

                 With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Proud owner of 360wii and DS/psp

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

Oh well they have extra money anyways right.

"Microsoft Corp.'s Japan unit aims to double the number of game titles for the Xbox 360 console in Japan to 500 by the end of 2008, a senior official said in a recent interview with Jiji Press.

New titles may include a sequel to the blockbuster Blue Dragon, said Takashi Sensui, executive officer and chief of the home and entertainment division of Tokyo-based Microsoft Co.

The Xbox 360 has been struggling in Japan as cumulative sales have totaled about 500,000 units since it was released in December 2005. But Senui said the console can win over hard-core gamers and that reaching one million units in sales is not far."

This says two things - #1 Microsoft isn't giving up on Japan and #2 it's targeting the japanese hardcore gamers.

I like the fact that they have two different strategies for NA and Japan, one targets NA casuals and the other Japan Hardcore and it makes sense since there's no way it could touch the Wii in the Japanese casual market.

Good news gebx, I only payed clost attention to your post since it relates to positive feedback on how Microsoft is trying in Japan. Unlike skimming past to troll posts....

well any new customer in japan is worth any penny MS invest... even if they won't win that market... if at least they get in a first time hardcore gamers... even if they lose money it's a good investment on the long run... and yes MS has money a lot of it not like Sony.. so they can waste as much as they want...
