If we are talking about a direct port (I guess it's something you are fighting for) then  there won't be any major difference in gameplay... There will be crappy textures, simply enviroment, drastic framedrops, annoying loadings etc. though.

If we are talking about port similar to Assassins Creed on DS then you are right they can add some extra features.

You can't just go with SD to keep things smooth with such game. Every single element will look, sound and play far worse than on X360/PS3.

Look worse? Definately, Sound worse? probably, Play worse? I don't think so. Can ANYONE deny that RE4Wii was better than the PS2 and GC versions? IF we get a port it will probably look a bit better than RE4, and i believe most of the Wii owners are Ok with that.

i'll probably have a ps3 by then so i don't care if it comes to wii or not.

C'mon devil... do you really believe Wii is as close to X360/PS3 as PS2 to GC? I'm sure both X360 and PS3 will have a hard time with this game to keep the framerate high. Wii?

the game would not be on par with the other versions, but that doesn't mean it has to be a complete mess. 

that being said, i don't think it should happen. i'd rather capcom make something like an RE2 remake for wii, or an RE5 side story. or better yet, viewtiful joe 3 and onimusha 5 wii exclusive :)

You can play Rainbow Six Vegas on PSP but is it still same Tom Clancy's game people are talking about?

I think they should cancel the lPS3 and 360 version and redo the entire game for the Wii, where it will be a huge success

I don't understand why no one else would rather have a from the ground up Wii project than a crappy downgrade of RE5. RE: Code Veronica on Dreamcast was far better than RE1-3 on the PSX. Just because it's a spinoff doesn't mean it can't be of the same high quality. In fact, it would most likely be higher quality than a port of RE5 given how difficult it would be to try and port this to the Wii.

and my god Frozen you just linked to a Wikipedia page who's sources are two other Wikipedia pages which don't have ANY news on them whatsoever about a Resident Evil 5 Wii Edition. That has to be one of the worst pages I've ever seen.
