It is. It will reach 10M in sales like CoD and GTA only it will not have a front-loaded launch like those games. LT sales will be on par with CoD/GTA/Halo.

That is a bad number for GT5. No two ways around it. In fact it's so bad that the only explanation I see is the chart being completely innacurate.

One of the other guys in the other threads went on about how GT was bigger than Halo even in US, im not gonna bother finding out links but it was in there.

Though my comment was more of on a worldwide scale, but still 280,000 copies with 1 week to go for something thats supposedly gonna sell 10 million copies on PS3 alone is kinda pathetic. its just the same as the PS3 version of Assassins Creed Brotherhood.

Its even less than PS3 version of Medal of Honor.

Even i thought itd be better than that, Vgchartz is expecting 500-550k opening in Japan, which is a little bit more than MGS4, about a 3rd of FF13, significantly below GT4. GT4 opened to 670k it went on to sell 1.1 million, so if that 500-550k sticks then its not even hitting 1 million in Japan even less than i thought.

So with what looks to be a poor US start and an average Japan start its not looking to hit 10 million anyway, theres no saying what itll do in EMEAA yet but nah itll never hit 10 million.

EMEAA is where GT is at simple as that....it will do good numbers (not amazing numbers) in NA as time goes (especially once the ad campaign hits)...

Maybe take it easy for now and wait and see how well it performs over the next year yea? Better than bickering about it every chance you get in almost every thread your in...

It probably wont hit 10 million, especially when giants like GTAIV only sell 6.8 million even if it was multiplatform, GTA has always been more popular than GT, so for GT5 to outsell the PS3 version of GTAIV by that much is pretty unrealistic.

In Japan GT4's LTD wasnt even double its first week, which was 670,000. Vgchartz predicts about 500,000-550,000 opening for GT5 in Japan so it may not even sell 1 million.  9 million between US and EMEAA unlikely.

GT4 sold less than 3 million in US, now lets say GT5 has some miracle and does 3 million which is GTAIV (PS3) sales then it would still need another 6 million in EMEAA which only 1 GT did that (GT4 with 6.5 million) and that was on PS2.

So 10 million is very unlikely.
