60fps and 120fps would not be a difference in your eyes for a game.

Oh yeah you guys are taking what he said out of context heh. need for speed usually has much more going on imo than gt and forza.
I think he will regret his comment when first week data is here.

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles
Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped: the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA
bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.
I prefer to have 60fps than more detailed 30fps, in 80% of cases (there may be an exeption for a very slow or static type of gameplay, like old horror survivals, or turn based games).

Then sell your PC monitor, buy an old one with 24Hz refresh rate, you won't see the difference -.-

That's not true, in fact there is no magic statistic of what your eyes can or cannot see because it's the brain that actually does a lot of the processing. Peoples eyes and brains work differently, some people can actually tell between 60 fps and 120 fps. The difference is when you start adding motion blurring and other effects it can fool your eyes into believing your looking at something running smooother than it actually is.

I suggest Reading Comprehension 101. Never said those cars were particularly fast. Just making a point that you can be driving a fun car in GT right off the bat instead of spending "4 hours in a PT Cruiser". Mustangs might be nice in NFS but this is a sim racer and you need to be able to turn corners :D |
I don't find driving an integra or mx-5 fun. You may however but I prefer to drive cars that I will never experience in my lifetime.
I always thought the human eye could only see 30 frames a second and that multiples of 30 are prefered.
My mind is full of... FUCK.
Pixel Art can be fun.

Glad you got a chuckle, shame I enjoy blur effects to give a sense of speed, depth of field, crash effect that give you a good sense of being in a crash, and finally actually having people and things around the track so isn't boring to look at.
Believe me it took me a while to find that Forza video to give it a fair shake lol Either way I'm not getting into this further than that, Shift isn't trying to simulate real life, and I find real life boring, so of course I'd find something that is trying to be a game rather than real life would be entertaining to look at. |
I agree 100% with you, Shift was 3rd most played game when I had a 360, only behind Dragon Age and Borderlands. The sound was AMAZING, and also was the feeling.
