It appears that those who were kind of disappointed by Final Fantasy III will not be disappointed in the same way by Final Fantasy IV.

Personally I am very hyped for this game.

But FF4 was always considered an amazing game; whereas, FF3 was never more than an excellent game :) If SE redoes FF6 right, it may be the best RPG ever made!

well, I played FFIV, 3 years ago, it was good.
Strangely I particularly enjoyed the 20 mins fight with the ultimate boss that was EXTREMELY close (ALL my exlixir/megaelixir, thrown weapon spent to kill him...)

They give every single S.E. game 8+, good or not good. One 8 in the middle of it and you can start worring about the game. I have no intention of buying this game... at all.

Final Fantasy IV was the first truly epic game in the series. It would be hard to screw it up. I still prefer FFIV to FFVI. FFIV starts out well and only gets better. FFVI sorta of falls apart once you begin the World of Ruin.
