More ads, more hype, everyone talks about COD, it's multiplatform, everyone buys it, so people want to play with their friend and then they buy the game they need to be with their friends etc. But if Halo continues to have sequels, the game may have even better sales, because Xbox brand will be more know and liked. (EMEAA is the land of PS in a way).

Hellz yeaaaaah PS3 Prevails! Kinect helped 360 tho, but ps3 still manages to outsell it in EMEAA, good stuff

and I like the HDS numbers a lot, SW AND HW...good stuff

Simply put, COD is the bigger franchise now.


Because EMEAA likes PS3 better than 360.

Who on earth believed the Wii version of COD would outsell the HD versions?? I want some of what they are smokin..

Though I do think the Wii version will have far better legs than most people realize.

I don't know about that, I'd say Halo was a bigger franchise last gen in terms of blockbuster sales per title, but call of duty may have sold more units because that was when they were doing a million console ports and stuff, but this gen they standardized CoD into a yearly release and now they are getting these huge blockbuster sales.

I'm willing to bet they are. VGCHARTZ numbers after the fix this last month are not to be trusted in EMEAA. 

I kinda agree with this. There is no way they can measure near the accuracy of all those smaller markets out there when there is generally a discrepancy even with the larger markets like the US and Europe.

The PS3 may be available in far more countries than the other two, but most of those markets are so minisule I highly doubt they are making that big an impact on PS3 sales.

I just find it tough to believe that the PS3 (with no new major software except the multiplaform Black Ops) beat the 360 which just launched Kinect, and the Wii, which always does well, especially near the holidays.

Deal with it till quarter reports and the confirmation that the PS3 is indeed selling this good. :)
