disappointing sales for black ops wii, i didn' expect that given good goldeneye debut last week. it opened worse than MWR in eu. it should do a lot better in usa given the preorders (>goldeneye and > all wii cods).

impressive legs for wii party and just dance 2.

 

and finally cod week has come and gone, i think a lot of people will be surprised next week, when wii will be on top again (finally)

I kinda agree with this. There is no way they can measure near the accuracy of all those smaller markets out there when there is generally a discrepancy even with the larger markets like the US and Europe.

The PS3 may be available in far more countries than the other two, but most of those markets are so minisule I highly doubt they are making that big an impact on PS3 sales.

I just find it tough to believe that the PS3 (with no new major software except the multiplaform Black Ops) beat the 360 which just launched Kinect, and the Wii, which always does well, especially near the holidays.

Deal with it till quarter reports and the confirmation that the PS3 is indeed selling this good. :)

Indeed I will wait for that confirmation. Because after that major adjustment of the PS3 sales in EMEAA a few weeks back, I take vgchartz sales in this region with a grain of salt. Sorry, but that's just my take.

So, is that grain of salt bigger than the level of salt in your tears the last 3-4 weeks. Because your tears are so salty I can taste them through the computer.

I'm not saying I have 100% faith in VGC numbers, they are estimates and should be regarded as such. It's like your life is coming to an end. Lol.

Actually, I have always believed that the PS3 was undertracked, and I have been right all along with multiple adjustments being made. I'll let you in on a little secret as well: I still believe it is undertracked by a little bit. But hey, don't tell anyone, OK?

Oh, and I have to edit in one last tip for you: You should refrain from visiting VGC after GT5 release... I actually think you will have a hard time living normally after seeing them numbers.

No no no! You got it all wrong! PS3 Only Does Huge Numbers. VGC are the ones doing the adjustments =) Still, VGC provides an excellent input for us into the industry, that's why I keep reading the site and come back for more.

Yeah shipped-sold gap for PS3 is like 2m... for 360 less than 1m... for Wii near 1.5m... and PS3 was overtracked... no doubt.
