130k in UK, 330k EMEAA. (Inc UK)

Well if attach rates are similar in the UK to the US, then kinect sold ~150-175K.

Not sure Kinect Sports is going to be 60K in UK. It sold less that Just Dance 2 in UK and JD2 sold 90K across the whole of EMEAA last week. Unless you think JD 2 went substantially up this week (doubtful) then there's no way Kinect Sports has done 60K in UK alone. It's more possible that Kinect Sports has done 60K across the whole of EMEAA. In which case it most definitely hasn't outsold Sports Champs yet. But it will, in the UK at least.

Also Sports Champs is not bundled in EMEAA, so while outselling it would be noteworthy it won't be quite as significant an event as what it would be if Sports Champs was packed in with every Move starter pack.

at least 40k i think

http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/gamesblog/2010/nov/15/top-ten-video-games

COD:BO sold 2m in UK first week and PC had 2%

I'd say not much more than 40K, unless the UK represents a disproprotionate percent of Just Dance 2 sales. JD 2 should be coming in at about 75K this week for the whole of EMEAA (unless I'm grossly overestimating it's WoW drop), so for Kinect Sports in UK to be >40K and <JD2 it means JD 2 in UK needs to be well over half of total EMEAA sales (even if JD2 sells exactly the same this week as last week across the whole of EMEAA). Is JD2 really that popular in the UK (or that unpopular in the rest of EMEAA)?

Also there's rounding to consider, no way the 360/PS3/PC splits are exact whole number percentages. 2% reported could be anywhere from 1.6%-2.4% actual (I think if it was 1.5 or 2.5% they'd report it as such) so BO could be as low as 32K or as high as 48K. Again, on the JD 2 evidence I'd be inclined to think it's at the lower end, even with JD2 sales being steady this week >48K for Kinect Sports in UK alone seems a bit too high.

We can only wait and see.

Well it looks like Kinect Sports is selling about 1 copy for every 3 Kinects so far. (according to the 1.3 million Kinects sold so far page). 130k kinects sold in the UK would put Kinect Sports at just over 40k there. (which would put it right about where you say, if it follows the average so far)

I think it was important for Rare to make a financially successful game. Not looking at the numbers, I'm going to assume Kinect Sports will be their best selling game so far this gen.

Viva Pinata is at 1.5 as their most successful game so far, heavily bundled though.

If Kinect is going to sell around 4 - 5 million by end of the year (on track) and Kinect Sports keeps its 1:3 ration, it'll hit around 1.5 mill. Surpassing VP in 8 weeks.

That said, I have thought about xmas sales, and if Kinect SW will pick up. People have more money to spend at xmas, so more games might be bought with Kinect, giving it a 1:2 ratio insted. I don't know, but it'll hit 2 m ill by June next year and carry on selling as an evergreen Kinect hit.

Yes, I think it, Dance Central, and maybe even Kinectimals will have fairly long legs and it should be interesting to see where they end up when it's all said and done. Those definitely look like the best 3 games (ignoring Kinect Adventures, which everyone gets) out of the launch lineup to me anyway. I think Kinect SW will pick up as we get closer to Christmas anyway, but the question will be if its increase is driven by more people buying Kinect, or people who've bought Kinect already buying more games for it.
