Digital Foundry didn't conclude that... just 360 has better resolution and framerate... not 3D experiense.

I don't know what you would call this statement then...

"Bearing in mind all the hard work PlayStation 3 has done as the standard-bearer for true stereoscopic 3D console gaming, it's a bit of a blow that Black Ops just doesn't work particularly well on the Sony platform and it's clearly the Xbox 360 game that offers a smoother, superior-looking experience." on page 3

The truth is, both versions have pathetic 3D immersion as neither lets you adjust the 3D depth and 3d conversion like the PC version. However 360 runs smoother in 3D...thats pretty much all there is to it.

I read the article and skiped this part... how can this happen? I do not know.

So who is telling the truth? Treyarch or DF?

Just another reason for ps3 buyers to get it used.

that totals it to 1 then?

Hmmm... that seems very unlikely. What do you mean?

I would go with DF. Their measurements are always of high quality, and seeing as the PS3 can't sustain the framerate like the 360 can, the PS3 version being poorer in 3D is to be expected.

I don't know as I did not play either versions, but I am leaning towards DF more.

One thing about 3D that people still don't understand is that its really simple tech. Its been around for 20 years...

In todays day and age, all that is needed for 3D gaming is horsepower. Usually pure video card horsepower determines the 3D performance. This is the reason why people gaming on PC in 3D need 500 dollar video cards...

If a game runs smoother in 2D on a platform, it is 99.9% given that it will run smoother and better in 3d as well. There are no smoke and mirrors that PS3 does, which 360 can't which make PS3 more 3D capable.

It just comes down to raw videocard horsepower.

There's also the Lens of Truth analysis for those who are interested.

They come up with the same conclusion about frame rate and stuff. Textures pop-up seems to be a problem on both consoles though.

*points a finger and lols on console owners while playing Black ops at 120 fps and 1080p*

Seriously though, this game could use some optimization eh? But I guess there is no need for Activision to spend time and money with it since it will sell like the fuck anyways.

*points a finger and lols on pc owners while playing Black Ops with the 4 million other people on the 360, knowing the PC version only had 60k preorders in America*

*points finger and lols due to me paying nothing for the game and still playing online with friends in our own server*

*points finger and lols due to me not having to pirate games because I'm an upstanding citizen*

Ok I don't understand why developers screw over an entire console fanbase.  Seriously you'd think with the money they get from COD games that they could afford to do a better job.

lazy my friend. just plain lazy, and there is no excuse for it

Yes that can be said for the Wii devs as well. Lazyness hurts in the business world.

agreed

All,I know is that the ps3 version works fine,I also played splitscreen with someone on the xbox360 version, and both look pretty close to me. Most people aren't going to care about framerate and resolution and all of that stuff. Only people that love to look at that stuff, are going to care. lol
