I played the 3 of them just a month or so ago, really great games, and the sequels actually improved o nthe original.

I usually play through the DKC trilogy once a year because I just love the games so much. Whether I play the SNES or Game Boy Advance remakes, I will never get tired of playing the Donkey Kong Country adventures.

Same here! Me and my friends and sister still occasionally play them, and they're still just as fun. I don't think I will ever get tired of those games, they are just perfect platformers in almost every way, especially the first two. The music is some of the greatest gaming music even now. I didn't like the third one nearly as much, just got a little too gimmicky and too hard, plus Kiddie sucked.

Bring on DKC Returns!

I thought 2 was actually harder. Didn't really like the kiddie/dixe combination on 3 either. It's the only potential complaint I have so far with DKC R, since Diddy has the jet pack. i liked how in 1 and 2 he was all about speed.

@Metallicube

Yes, I'll admit when I first played DKC3 I also found it to be a bit more difficult than the first two games. I think this was mostly due to all the items you need to collect. I didn't mind Kiddy Kong though. Although I like all three games pretty equally, DKC2 just edges over DKC 1 and 3 slightly more as my favourite. I also agree with you about the music, it still amazes me what Rareware pulled off with the SNES!
