Im sorry but pretty much everything I've played thats exclusive to PS3 is "hollywodized" way more than stuff on 360. Uncharted 2, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, Killzone 2...all visually focused games which concentrate on the cinematic visual experience over actual playing. Only Uncharted 2 has gameplay to match its visuals and presentation IMO out of thsoe 4 games... Why do you think 720 would continue this trend more than PS4? I personally love what the 360 is doing with its XBL Arcade approach and as long as they keep doing that, the true form of a videogame (rather than an interactive movie) will never die. |
Yeah I have to agree with this. Although the HD consoles are both pretty similar in their style of games, I find that the 360 tends to lean more to the arcade style of games, more about action and more open than PS3 games, which push the cinematics more. Even the PS3's main non gaming selling point is a movie format. Many of its biggest games like Heavy Rain seem to be more similar to movies than games. 360 has more emphasis on online multiplayer, and the smaller XBLA games, which tend to resemble the more arcadey games of the past. It's no coincidence that I buy more XBLA games than actual retail games. Because these are the types of games that are closer to how gaming should be, and are far more enjoyable to me.
