Forums - Sales - Tose via famitsu: ps3 outsold 360 by one million 42M vs 41M

It's not news if the information is clearly false.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

I don't know why the VGC mods were locking this threads.

how is it clearly fake?

@ethomaz:

That's weird isn't it? No comments by the mod locking them either, which is usually the standard procedure.

But it's from Famitsu... maybe they explain how they arrived at these numbers.

I'm curious.

Could be their numbers are out of date, but it seems its just wrong (no offense), because Greenburg recently said xbox are at 45mil (or 44) cant remember.

So they're undertracking the PS2, which means they're also undertracking the PS3... which means the PS3 has really outsold the Wii! Whoa!

Maybe they're discounting the consoles dead by 3RLs.

Untill 29-10-2010: XBOX360 shipped 45million

So now you will know why the treads are locked.

that's what I'm wondering. Does anyone have info on how those consoles were reimbursed? I know a lot of stores had their own warranties and gave people with RRODs new systems off of the shelves. Now, those would be coming right out of a shipped order, right?

Actually, this makes a whole lot of sense.

When gamestop received a broken 360, they gave the people new ones off of shelves, and then sent in the broken one for repair, and then sold the returned ones as used systems. Several other companies had the same procedure too.

Above information is from Kotaku:

To 29-10-2010: XBOX360 shipped 45million

So now you will know why the treads are locked.

Shipments =/= sales (to retailers).
