Why is there Sailor Moon flavour text in a vanilla game?
Present.

It is vanilla only insofar as it doesn't have all the crazy roles I posted in the sign up thread.

Ah, so we have vanilla roles, but Sailor Moon names?

Does this post bother anyone else?

It has been nagging at the back of my mind since I quoted it early on page one.

I marked it down as a possible slip, but not quite a tell. Seeing as the theme is "Sailor Moon" just mentioning there are names doesn't quite give alignment.

If names are important as you seem to be pointing out then it could show Kantor as either scum or PR; however, this would hint that you're implying you have no name in your description thus being vanilla.

The usage of Sailor Moon just struck me as odd.  It read to me like he still thought that the Sailors were town.

Could you clarify what you mean by "still." I'll point out that at the time Kantor posted, Final-Fan had not yet clarified roles.

Also, what else should be used in this game? Since "Tuxedo Mask" was already used, wouldn't "Ah, so we have vanilla roles, but Tuxedo Mask names?" or anything besides the actual name of the theme strike you as far more odd?

unvote truck

unvoting because I don't think he'd be as aggressive if he were mafia.

Here's some interesting stuff that's been said. Below I will summarize and give out my suspects.

hatmoza: "can we cut to the chase and lynch someone"

mg_94:"Why are you in such a hurry Hatmoza, did finally get a mafia role?"

kantor: " Why so accusive of Hatmoza? Fos: MetalGear94 (I don't want to joke vote)"

  • defending someone by attacking another

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3737165

kantor: "Ah, so we have vanilla roles, but Sailor Moon names?"

  • possibly is a sailor scout (mafia)

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3737170

therepublic: "Maybe you should read your PM to find out."

  • possibly telling kantor to start paying attention.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3737177

  • dtewi called mgs' vote a joke vote, was unsure of hatmoza's temperament

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3737198

  • dtewi; mafia tend to fos townies and vote mafia on day 1

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3737472

SaK: "Crap I was late!"

  • i believe this is a form of fake complaining. Additionally, only scum really feels the pressures of having to be on time.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3737683

SaK: "Well I'm going to do my homework, but here's some food for thought, are you against or with lynching lurkers?"

  • More lynch-bait/ meta testing

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3737938

  • more comments about lateness, from posters who aren't posting much. Radish, gurgles, and SaK

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3739563

  • SaK questioning if there are night kills or not.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3739863

dtewi: "I'm not defending Khuutra. I'm upholing the torch of truth, logic, and rationality."

  • mafia are usually the logical ones.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3738513

  • attempt to portray nen-suer negatively. (although I also suspect nen-suer. So I'm not sure...he is the 4 vote on "no lynch" though, and that's one of my meta rules.

post above this one

linkzmax: "If names are important as you seem to be pointing out then it could show Kantor as either scum or PR; however, this would hint that you're implying you have no name in your description thus being vanilla."

  • Possible setup for later name-claim of vanilla townie with no name.

  1. Kantor: chainsaw defense (defending another person by attacking their attacker). Said "sailor moon" names. I've watched Sailor Moon, and even I barely recognize villain names...although Queen Beryl is the biggest name, so..well I don't know for sure.
  2. Therepublic: Telling Kantor to re-read his PM. Suspecting Kantor later on.
  3. dtewi: strange behavior. FoSing rather than voting. Making blanket pro-town like statements. Claiming the side of logic and reason, a common scum behavior. Scum are logical because scum play it safe.
  4. SuperAdrianK: apologized for being late. Asked meta questions (questions about rules of thumb; ie lynch-bait). Questioning whether there are night kills. There obviously are. I'm town and I know that. This question is possibly a statment saying "I have no access to night-kills".
  5. Khuutra: unfortunately. I think he's the doctor. Therefore, he's mafia.
  6. Linkzmax: several cases of suspicious actions. 4th voter, cherry-picking, possible setup for a later no-name nameclaim.

That's all I have to say.

a mafia would know he's mafia though... and obviously the mafia have "sailor XYZ" names.

I actually think that the FF reveal would be much more useful to identify townies than mafia. I mean he posted because more than one person asked im if they were mafia, so some townies might have changed their behaviour with that information.

Day 1 lynching is usual benefit the mafia.

I'll disagree and leave it at that.

it really depends who we are lynching and why, if its a suspect person based on reasons, then there is at least a fair chance of them being scum, if its just person x for the sake of a lynching, its much more likely they will be a townie and therefore it will be bad for us and good for the mafia.

if you have a reason for those feelings though, that could be helpfull, even if its small it might help the town

The way I see it, either hatmoza, Khuutra or dtewi (1, 2 or even all 3 of them) might be scum.

I suggest we lynch either hatmoza or Khuutra because,

    1. I don't like what I'm hearing from them.

    2. They're both great players, and a risk for us townies to have against us if they are anti town.
