Not really worth spending all the money to run cable all the way from one isolated sheep farm to the next, is it?

But I switched to satellite in the summer of 2009 and it's probably the smartest thing i've ever done in all my life (though it was really my parents' decision, but i factored in heavily), though i'm rather biased because that move got me Boomerang, the best television network of all time.

Over here in Romania cable is pretty cheap and lots of people have it (I think more than half of TV owners actually). Not everyone has the full package, but I do, including the 24/7 porn channels (of which my parents don't know about ).

Oh, and I like turtles too!!!

if by cable you mean paytv then NO.

 

too bloody expensive in AUS. Over $100 a month to get all the channels.

 

THAT IS NOT EVEN COUNTING THE PORN CHANNEL.

Yea we have cable TV in two rooms, we got since we used to get really really reception where i live, though the reception problem has been fixed and as such the third tv is only going to have freeview. (Australia's free to air tv)

 It also helps that freeview now has around 12-17 channels depending on if you call the HD channel separate to there SD counterparts (i guess half the time they have different tv shows on... but the other half of the time...)
