There's no confusion, companies have been doing fiscal year projections for ages. Even though it was hard, Sony fans eventually accepted that Sony's figures in fiscal reports are sold to retailers, the next step is to accept that the 11 million number is not LTD.

Well ,if its march to march they wont hit those projections .Still ,they will reach or even surpass 11 million LTD and thats a quite good feat in itself for one year and three months in two markets and just 1 year in the PAL region .

Sony might just hit the 11 mil target before 31st of March 2008.

Cuzz i have to admit, they're selling better than i'd have thought they'd do ... It looks like a healthy system to me!

It's for this fiscal year only.  Their original target was 16.5 million units total by March 31, 2008.  Then they revised it by changing their definition of 'shipped units' to actually mean 'shipped units' which down revised their final number to 14.6 million units total.  That's where they sit now.

They have no hope of hitting that number.  After the holiday season sales will drag for a while again.
