Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony Mocks Kinect, Celebrates EyeToy

They pretty much copied an article that Gametrailers wrote and was panned for. Sony never mentioned Kinect. That video was released as a part of a series of Playstation Celebrations videos on the Playstaion Blog, it was not meant to be an attack against Kinect. It's weird how they've decided to write an article about that video, but they didn't write any on the other videos being released on the Blog.

The bottom of the article makes me sick:

"Check out the whole video below and then cast your vote on what type of technology, either the Kinect or the PlayStation Move, will win in the end."

Articles written up to feed fanboys, it's disgusting and when larger sites do the same thing, it only makes the industry look much more immature.

Softpedia are another site I'll have to cross off my 'reputable reviews' list along with Gamespot, IGN and Game Informer. All I've got left is Giant Bomb, Joystiq, Eurogamer and Destructoid.

Why am i not surprised. Anythings to gain hits i see.

Anyone who considers Destructoid to be anything other then the dedicated trolls of gaming reviews is fooling themselves.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Nintendo also said buttons were important a while back when they talked about how they wanted to do a camera/controller-less gaming before creating the Wii.  But their studies showed that buttons were important so thats why Nintendo resulted with motion controllers.

Umm... no.

It's Playstation's 15 aniversery this year. Look through the Playstation blog; video's about the Playstation's brand are every where. This has next to nothing to do with MS.  They dont even mention Kinect in the video.

Well they purposely chose the kinect launch date to publish the article about the video, that definitely was a sly dig by Sony. As well as the subtle references to kinect, i mean kinetic.

Anyway, the amount of xbox defendants here is amazing.

GoW collection; Ico collection; splinter cell collection; whatever bunch of old games collection....

satisfied?

(oh and this was to point out that similarities in names are ridiculous as arguments, in case you didn't get it)

No... Splinter Cell collection isn't sony.

B4 GoW3 released there was a survey by SONY asking what people wanted to come with the limited addition. Gow 1 and 2 bundled was asked for so much that they figured there's probably demand for both games on a single disc rereleased. Turns out they were right. It's sold Over a million pretty quickly.

When SONY launched Share.Blog.Playstation for people to vote on things that they wanted, and ICO collection was one of the first things added by users. it got OVER A THIRD OF THE VOTES OF X-GAME CHAT. It would be insane not to do it and the fans WANTED. Both games were highly praised but not alot of people played them. Especially ICO. I'd also like to add that while I haven't checked recently, I copy of ICO on EBAY is 150$. I tried buying it at gamestop when I went to get Heavy Rain and the guy said 40$... don't even know if that was new or used... The Sly collection idea was also picking up votes pretty fast before it was taken down once it was announced.

SONY's pumping out stuff that we gamers WANT. 3rd Parties like the one's behind SplinterCell collection just seem to think there's probably demand for their stuff aswel.

Nintendo claims they don't listen to fanfeed back much.... do they know if gamers want the number of ports and remakes coming to 3DS???
