So far I've only seen experience point hacks nothing in game, you can tell who used the experience point hacks by looking at the records, its obvious 4 people hacked their games and will likely be wiped off soon.

-edit- oh so they're using the Reflex system where if a hacker uses a hack it unlocks it for everyone, it actually reduces the number of hackers that showed up on Reflex immensely, no real reason to hack if they can't have an advantage, just wanting to screw around.

I'd seen that on WaW too, where everyone had the hack.  Thought it was the hacker's intention, but occurred to me it might be some kind of anti-hack device.   Still, took away from the game.   If it's not too bad I'll still consider getting the game (full price).

Well like I said I haven't run into a single hacker just yet, online has been silky smooth just the top 4 on the leader boards are screwed up.

Despite SSBB troubles, and whatever the haters may say the Wii has had many excellent and flawless online games.

However FPS's have recently been a sore spot because of hackers.   The Conduit's great (when it didn't crash) multiplayer was ruined by hackers and so was CoD:WaW  (can't speak for Reflex, never played it).

Now reports are already coming in about hackers messing up Goldeneye.

http://www.gamerzines.com/wii/news/goldeneye-hacked.html

Recently Nintendo agreed to allow publishers to patch online games and CoD:BO and Conduit 2 will both be doing that to combat hackers but for whatever reason, Activision didn't seem to deem it necessary for Goldeneye despite multiplayer being it's main selling point.  (Unless they announced that when I wasn't looking)

Has anyone seen evidence of hacking?

Personally, I've been going back and forth on whether to get Goldeneye or CoD:BO.  Both had some great features I like.  If Goldeneye's online is already compromised and there's no patching then it's lost value to me.  That'd give CoD:Bo the nod instead.    I'll still get Goldeneye for the single player and local split-screen but after the price drops, and probably after I get Conduit 2 as well.    This is very disappointing to me, as I was excited for this game as it's more up my alley than CoD.   Hopefully I'm wrong and it's patchable, otherwise this could really hurt sales.

I would suggest picking up one of the HD consoles for FPS gaming and the 360 to be more specific. Better online and  better for shooters. With the dashboard upgrade this past Monday Jtaggers cannot get online therefore no more modded games.

I never play online on consoles anymore. On both Wii and 360, the majority of online players are either hackers, ragequitters, cheaters or downright idiots.

Online gaming has huge potential, but in reality, it sucks.

Eh, i'll keep tabs on this. If it hasn't become ruinous by Christmas, i'll still ask for it

Otherwise i'll just jump to Donkey Kong

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Thanks, I have a 360 though.  Hate dual analog for FPS.   Also I refuse to pay for online because I simply won't use it enough to justify the added expense.

Actually that's usually the problem, the people who are cheating didn't  buy the game, they are using illegal copies, and additional software to hack the system.
