Forums - Nintendo - I did get Kirby's Epic Yarn.

Via the use of trade-ins, I was able to get Epic Yarn.  The game is terminally cute.  Will need to play more to see the depth of hidden stuff in it.  It is on the fun side.  I figured best I confess I did get it, since I did start the Epic Yarn Brigade thread, and felt like a hypocrite putting it off.

Anyone else here in the bridge pick up Epic Yarn, or failed to, because well you are too swamped with other stuff, or spent too much already?

great game, it got a 9.1 I heard.

I got it.  So far my daughter and my girlfriend's son have played it more than I have (although I did play quite a bit with my daughter) but I can hardly complain about that, it's getting used which is more than I can say about most titles I own.

It is almost obnoxiously cute but certainly enjoyable.  Look forward to playing more, but I'll have to wait until I get it back first.

I bought it, but the way they presented the story really made me feel childish. Not that being a kid is a bad thing but this game made me feel more childish then any other Nintendo game. Did it have that effect on any of you?

Yes.  Fortunately, I have kids to play it with so I can pawn it off as a game for 'us'.

I was prepared for it when I saw they took that approach in a review.  It does look like they tried to go more for children than I had expected though.

Haven't yet. Im swamped with work, university, and other games :P Gonna get it soon though, it seems worth getting!

I'll get it in 2011... when it is released here

I will probably get it for Christmas. Just has a warm fuzzy look to it, reminds me of Yoshi's Island which was an excellent game. DKC Returns is my first priority.

It is terminally cute and on the easy side.  When I say easy side, I mean Legos games easy.  You can compete to maximize score, but if you play to get through it, you will face not a lot of challenge.  Playing it did have me wondering how often knocking someone back, and causing deaths for falling are used to give a game length, and pad it out (forcing replays).  The play is along the lines of the initial reboot of Prince of Persia they did a year or two ago.

This being said, I am done with it, and will be looking to trade it in.  Was it worth the trip?  Yes.  But trade in is because I am like on very little income and I want to bank what I can get for it.  If it is of any note, I also finished off Fable III and traded that in.

Oh yes, the childish thing did start to wear on me.
