Forums - General - Who here has seen Spartacus (Tv series)

The show really impressed me. I had been feening for a good "Sword and Sandals" series ever since HBO ended Rome. So for me Spartacus came through big time. And while the first few episodes were not so great it got good fast. I downloaded and watched the entire first season in two days and was completely engrossed. It just kept getting better and better with all the plot twists and turns. And then to find out the lead actor got cancer. It's like damn. Why couldn't it have been Charlie Sheen or something? But even if they bring in another actor it'll still be good. When it comes down to it writing and production value are what make a TV show.

heres the funny thing i have all the episodes in HD but theyre in MKV format and i dont know how to convert them..... can you believe it ive got 18GB worth of spartacus and its useless to me :(... i can only watch it if i stream it to my PS3 but thats alot of hassle and i dont really like wireless streaming

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

I started watching this show with my girlfriend... let's just say it wasn't to her taste (too much blood of course, what other reason would there be? :-p )

Watched the whole thing, it's pretty good, though there are many plot points that I find a bit off, it was a fun first season. Too bad for the actor though, he managed to get the role pretty well. (much better than the 60ies movie... why was that ever popular? it's a snorefest).

Back in the day the old Spartacus movie was epic!  Things change and so do tastes, they just had different tastes than we do.  I mean, for god sakes they couldn't even show belly buttons until the 60's nor a wife and husband sleeping in the same bed on tv.

The Spartacus TV series is beyond epic. I'm glad Andy Whitfield has recovered from his cancer. I can't wait for Season 2.

His cancer came back man, sad news, but they will be replacing him for series 2, i think someone on this thread suggested Wentworth Miller as a replacement - maybe it could work? Miller does play that type of intelligent, calculating hero in Prison Break, maybe it would work.

awesome show, except for his screaming always sounding the same

Can't you just watch them on your PC? If you've got a laptop you should be able to directly connect it to your HD TV too.

I'm glad more people have such interest in the show. That's too bad about Andy, he will be missed on the show :(. I'm glad they decided to do a prequel series. Here it states he will be involved in 2 out of the 6 planned episodes in the prequel.

I hope they find a good actor to replace him, @ naruball: I enjoyed Wentworth on Prison Break and I think he might do a good job as Spartacus, but I think I'd rather have a face that I couldn't pair with another character, you know what I mean?

Jupiter's Cock!

Great actin, a lot of action, sex, blood and emotions. Awesome soundtrack! The final was pure legend of moment.
