You nailed it. Wii represents everything that Heavy Rain is NOT, and vice versa. Wii embraces the fast paced, arcade style games with no cutscenes, dialogue, etc, and pure gameplay, with multiplayer emphasis. Heavy Rain represents cinematic/artistic values in games, epic stories, linear gameplay, single player experience, etc. So it isn't surprising that the creator of a game like Heavy Rain would look at the Wii and what it represents and scratch his head.
