I'll just wait for malstrom to say how bad it is before you agree that it's not just a stab in the dark. :P

Hmm, I think it's just a matter of the game not capturing the novelty the first one had. Even if the game was exactly like the first one, it can never capture that feeling of freshness that people experienced when first playing it with their friends, because there wasn't really much like it at the time. I think that's a major reason for Goldeneye's success. That said, I'm sure the remake is still a solid game and I will probably still get it, but I'm in no rush to buy it. I will probably just ask for it for christmas or wait until it's cheaper. I just want a solid FPS on the Wii with good controls and good online multiplayer, which I still haven't really seen.

Um, he says most FPS are the best of games today, as they fit the arcade mold best, especially in multiplayer.
Plus my comment was based you claiming this one thread proved your claim. You kind of should show some others, especially when other threads before this are full of praise of the game, and that's from users as well as reviews.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
It actually didn't feel like Call of Duty for me. That was the problem :b
I played Reflex all the time so it took me some time to get used to it. I haven't tried out the split-screen, but the online is really fun.

We'll use the sales to determine how great it actually is. I'm banking on good reviews having to do with nostalgia factor, rather than the game itself. Every bond beside the original goldeneye has been crap, to be polite about it, and this is no exception.
As far as malstrom, he'll directly address this game. I know it. And I know exactly what he's going to hit it for, control. Goldeneye, more than anything else great about it, had one of the silkiest, sexiest, tightest controls of its day. Mal is going to rip this game.

Oh and the other threads don't matter.
Smoked Hostage made this thread. That says something about the game, it really says something. :P

Always lol when someone says this.

"I'm banking on good reviews having to do with nostalgia factor, rather than the game itself."
I read the reviews, and it's the opposite.

I thought wii fans don't read reviews because they are broken.
And what do the reviews say, "it's a great game and it has nothing to do with nostalgia"? It's so obvious that someone affected by nostalgia would say that.
