The absolute ceiling I can see PSP2 price is $250. Which would likely match the price of the PS3 by the time the PSP2 launches. I'd be willing to bet it will be $200 though, especially if the 3DS is $250 as it most likely will be based on the Japanese price.
I expect the PSP2 to cost no more than $299. That's a pretty good price point and it could still compete with the 3DS pretty well.
Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!
Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!
Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!
I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

Here in the U.K the PSP Go's RRP is £224.99 ($360.51) but one can usually get one for £175 ($280.47), given those prices I highly doubt the PSP2 will retail for a maximum of $299 (£186.57). Maybe $350 (£218.41)?

Expensive things sell if people are convinced that they want them, i.e. ipad.
The big questions is what has Sony done with PSP2 to capture the mass media attention besides core gamers and Sony fans. How is the device going to be positioned, merketed, etc.
SONY really should be aiming for a price point of $199 -- that way the PSP2 will be cheaper than the 3DS which would really help it take away casual and core gamers from Nintendo in the handheld sector.
At worst SONY needs a $249 price point which is probably how much the 3DS will cost in the US.
