this post reminded me of their Cat Mascot called Toro (or Sony Cat if you will) , Sony used him since the Playstation 1 days as a Mascot, no one really heard about him in the West, which leads to my question , why don't they use him?

on japanese PS3's they have him as a news/blog channel on XMB (like what US and UK have as PS Blog)

Toro? the cat who wants to be human? Maybe because he has just 2 "games" with wierd japanese humor which we don't get in the west.. or he isn't hardcore enough for us in the west..

Well didn't they use Crash Banicoot for the PS1 as there mascot

and also you dont associate PS with a cat unlike Mario with Nintendo as well, but more like an hardcore quality gaming machine
