These threads are usually reserved for the big boys (1up, IGN, Gamepro, Gamespot...)

I have not heard of TSA and neither has metacritic.

You know TSA = 'TheSIxthAxis' right?  Metacritic have definitely heard of them.

LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL I just took his word and believed that Meta don't use them

EPIC FAIL on his part, slight fail on my part (running on 4 hours of sleep, happens)

haha, only on videogame forums do people provide excuses for slight fails...

Metacritic cites them so I guess these guys are the shizzle. My epic fail indeed.

So its 7/10 guys...don't walk, but run to get this game...I wanna see The Fight trophies in all of your sigs.

lol come on now don't be like thaaaaaaat

First you say you and meta don't know it

now since that's wrong now it's not a big deal

Grow up, admit you made a mistake, move on,

Seriously tho, maybe you should stay away from this thread, your effort to discredit this review is becoming a joke now. At least say what's 'wrong' with the review before kicking in with the snide remarks, or don't kick in with anything, at all

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

You forget my original point which was that the notion of 7/10 from "thesixthaxis" meaning this is a good game is quite rediculous.

If it was like 10/10...then yeah, that would be pretty good.

As far as me being wrong, ok I was wrong that TSA is not on metacritic. Hope ioi doesn't ban me for more than a week...

Let's not spin this now ok? This is what you said first

"7/10 from a review publication no one every heard about is good news now?

The reviewer accent is the best part here..."

then when I pointed it's a pretty well known source, you said you nor meta don't know it....

Fact of the matter is, you are trying to discredit an ACTUAL good review here, it's not OVERLY optimistic either. It's detailed, makes the points well and does a pretty good job on letting people know how the game is.

As for your 'big boys' IGN, that review includes incomplete info and is misleading

Again tell me, why knowing IGN was full of *%&^ and actually seeing some good points made about the game and corrections of misconceptions NOT be news? 7/10 = is good for a motion game, but screw the score, it's the content that matters. So yeah this is good news, and unless you can prove what it says is not true or misleading, you effort is a joke, so move along now.

thesixthaxis are credible reviewers....  after all they gave FableIII 10/10 and Halo reach 10/10

But.. IGN (3) and VideoGamer (5) are also credible.  The game clearly has considerable issues.

10/10 for both seems generous, 7/10 would probably be a 6/10 on a lot of over sites.

I think the controls look horrible. The game completely went from a rental to probably not even playing it at all. When I saw that one controller has to be rotated like a joystick to move and that you can't tell how far away you are and how because of that you constantly miss punches, I lost all interest.

That is my honest opinion.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

The problem I have with both the IGN review and the Video Gamer review is that they are full of inaccuracies and omissions. The TSA and the iWaggle reviews are streets ahead of both of them. Christ on a bike, the bloke from IGN even got the basics wrong. Every time he blocked punches the dozy twonk was incorrectly calibrating the controls lol, no wonder he was having control issues. And neither of those two supposedly professional reviewers made any mention at all of the online multiplayer. After reading those two reviews, which were the first ever to be seen, I had written the game off as a load of old bollocks - broken controls and no online multiplayer..? Forget it.

Luckily I saw someone provide a link to the iWaggle review and my opinion of the game (and of the two reviewers!) changed completely.

I'm still annoyed that we don't have any sort of detail on how the fights themselves are actually laid out. Is it just a last man standing affair with the two fighters trading punches, or is it split into rounds..? How does the game handle knockdowns and knockouts for both yourself and your opponent..? Can you get up once knocked down or is that it, goodnight Vienna..?

The quality of the gaming press during these last few years has gone right down the toilet as far as I'm concerned, and it's a shame.
