Forums - General - Are you excited for the new Harry Potter movie?

I haven't read a single one of the books (only a few pages of... I don't remember... in a bookstore), but I do enjoy the movies. I'd love to watch the last 2 movies, but cinemas are so expensive in Japan. 1800 Yen (22.3$!!) for one person is quite hefty. For that price I will (most likely) almost to be able to import the Blu-Ray once it's out.

Maybe I'll watch it with my wife on couple's day (2000Yen for 2 people... that's a bit more reasonable).

Yes.

If I was guaranteed 7 more books with 7 more movie's to continue the franchise and the only thing I'd have to do would involve punching 100 babies in the face and then chop off my left arm, I'd do it. That's how excited I am for the upcoming Harry Potter movie.

I'm being serious. I'd also hulk smash J.K. Rowling (sexually).

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

DH is supposedly going to adhere to the book more closely than any other film.

Though I don't know how they're going to capture half of the emotion in "The Forest Again."

Either way, I'm excited for it.

I decided to go back through the whole story on cd audio book and I'm still amazed with the book. Not only that but the narrator Jim Dale of the audio books is excellent.

...

Whoa, you must've never heard the Stephen Fry versions. Far superior.

yes,lol.

If you've read the books and like them you fell that the movies leaves out so much epicness. But the movies alone are quite good i guess. Prisoner of Askaban and Goblet of FIre are the two better ones. Last two Order of the Phoenix and Half Blood Prince has been so so.

But the new ones seems to be epic, they've actually made them into two episodes where the first one is 2.5h long, which bodes well. Seems likfe they've put some effort into making them as true to the books as possible. Hope they can deliver!

Not really

I am, though I have no idea where the 1st part of the movie will end.

After the forest ?

I think that was roughly the middle of the book, but that would seem a bit weird for a movie, since there would be a certain lack of action, on the other hand the 2nd part would be nothing but action....

Does anyone already know where it stops ?
