Forums - Nintendo - Transferring Downloaded Games to new Wii

As stated above, saved game data and the actual games are treated as seperate content (just like on the PSP, PS3, and 360).  You can transfer the saved game data without a problem.  You can even buy an accessory called "Power Saves" that will let you get saved game data from the internet.  In fact, I own it.

As for the games themselves......well, that why I posted in this thread.  I want to see if there's an easy solution.  This is the main reason why I didn't buy a black Wii.

Around the Network

call up Nintendo, if u bought 60 VC/WW games they damn well better transfer em, lets say they all cost 500 Wii points (miniumum) thats 30 000 Wii points worth of games u bought from em.

Yeah I think I heard someone say that you have to send both of them in to Nintendo and they'll transfer it for you but It'll take a couple weeks.

I know how you feel I really wanted to get the red wii too but I got like 26 vc and ww games which come to about 180 in games I'll lose.

You could buy the red wii then just switch the casing for both. You'll void the warrenty and have a chance of screwing up both wiis but its doable I saw it on youtube.

ok so i jsut got around calling Nintendo and they will NOT transfer my games even though i have 60.  Absolutely ridiculous.  I almost got them to do it when i told them i had 5 ipod/ipad that have no problem transferring data between them and how Apple doesn't seem to have any problems with consumers tranferring data themselves.  And then he said well, those are songs, and i was like no, those are games as well.  So, he checked with his supervisor assumingly and he came back and told me NO.  JOKERS!!!! ugh.

I was wanting the red wii at best buy for 169.99
