I don't care to get into the "system x is overtracked by 100k" crap. Millions out is one thing, a few hundred k don't really matter to me as I know ioi will get it fixed in the long run.

But the PS2 adjustments could be in the millions no? Or am I interepreting wrong...
i agree with the OP, but VGCHARTZ is not a fault here? you give the info you have and thats all VGCHARTZ has done so thanks for keeping us informed VGCHARTZ!
I don't think PS2 should be on the front page, but it is impressive. Obviously it's selling at a lower price in regions where the 360 (and PS3) would be way too expensive for many, but nonetheless, Sony's played the life of the PS2 very well, even continuing to see it sell well by adjusting it's regional and price level focus heavily late in its life.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
Looking at those shipements guys it seems noone noticed by Wii is only 430k above PS2 numbers.
If it keeps collapsing at current speed it might be outshipped by PS2 in Q1 or Q2 of FY2011.

I already said that PS2 numbers are obviously off. By how much I haven't looked into it. Doing a quick check, sony shipped 46.8m in the last ~4.5 years and VGC has only 39.42 in a slightly larger timespan (diff of 7.4m). It looks like most of the missed sales come in the last 2 or so years, which is when Sony started to expand into untapped markets.
Again, there was a change in record keeping, so any attempt to add annual reports together fails. I know that even Sony screwed up reporting sales once when they announced a number lower than their previous announced number.
Not saying its anyones fault.. just that the numbers are off.
Now im just curious about the VGC 6.4m sold (customers) and 5.8 shipped (retail). Usually the sold is atleast 500k off from shipped. Which would indicate that VGC is off by 1.1m. I mean, prior to the PS3 adjustments, the PS3 sold was close to 3m off of the shipped numbers.

thats weird...
But MS has 360 at 44.6M and VGC at 43.6M or so by september ends.
