Forums - Microsoft - Who else thinks Fable 3 is near perfect?

First I'll talk about the good things...

The combat- Feels a lot better than Fable 2, you can aim easier, switch weapons faster, cooler weapons, a lot of different variations of attacks. Combine spells etc.

Voice acting- Pure genious/that is all

The co-op works like a charm (From the one time I tried it)

Finally A MAP!

Oh, and villagers won't get mad at you when you bring your weapon out in public

I like the sanctuary btw*

Here's what I don't like about it...

The laggyness. When your in a crowded city it sometimes lags when you run... o well.

Screan tearing, at the beginning of the game it screan tears a little.

Sometimes the game appears blurry, but that may be on purpose to make it more errie

I'm 7 hours into the game, I will turn this thread into my review when I'm done!

What do you think of this game?

I'm hyped for this game despite the fact that I've avoided pretty much every scrap of information about it.  I'm grabbing it today.   A lot of people on VGChartz have been singing this games praises.  I can't wait to get started!

I'm really enjoying reading people's impressions on this game. Keep them coming! It seems to be incredibly polarizing. I'm waiting for the PC version as I just got a graphics upgrade and want some new games to push my card on (I know Fable 3 won't be much of a test but if I can crank out 1920 x 1200 visuals with everything maxed it'll just make the world that much more enjoyable and immersive).

From peoples' views I think I'll enjoy this game very much. Seems people who don't like it:

1) Don't like the humour. I adore British humor

2) Don't invest themselves in the world and find interactions with it shallow. I liked it in Fable 2 so I'll most likely enjoy it in Fable 3.

3) Simply can't get over the mundane combat. I normally have problems with simplified combat - Batman AA; but I found Fable 2 did involve some strategy with the spells. Sure the game is easy on its own but mixing and matching spells really allowed for some differentiation in play styles.

Should have my copy in about 6 hours. Really can't wait.

Just became King in my playthrough. Took me 20 hours to get there.  Really enjoying the game!

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

Games are always better when you ignore everything about it and then play it. Same thing happened to me when I played Fallout 3. It rocked.

Hope you enjoy Fable 3.

God I agree.  I've put about 10 hours into it so far and I have to say this is the most enjoyable experience I have ever had in a video game.

If Lionhead released weekly DLC missions and such I would probably never play another game again.

Quick question:  In Fable 2, there was somewhat of an online element where everyone who was playing the game appeared as an orb with a picture of their Gamerpic in it.  Does Fable 3 do that?  I've been playing for about an hour (earlier) and it hasn't happened yet.

Yeah, it does. I've seen a few of my friends' orbs from time to time.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

I found it.  The option was turned off.  I set it so that I can hear everything everybody says and see everybody's orbs.  And to my surprise, some random stranger gave me 100,000 pieces of gold!!

I'm loving this game and I've only logged in about four hours.  I doubt I'll go to sleep at a decent hour tonight, either.  There are quite a few technical hiccups but the game is addictive as hell.  It's this gens GTA San Andreas!
