People still buy CDs? (I'm serious)

Have you missed the whole PSPGo thing?  Haha PEOPLE LIKE PHYSICAL OBJECTS, simple as that.  (dont mind the caps, just for the lulz)

I think for music it's be a different situation. I'd rather have downloadable music. Most people are listening to iPods or whatever anyway...downloaded music.

Also, leo-j/Lady Gaga vs. Ps3/Taylor Swift thread now!

Haha I thought that the second Leo posted! Great minds ya know ;)  .  Eh, I guess I'm old fashioned then lol.  I like cd's of artists I really like or think are gonna be good.  Basically if I only like a few songs, then download.  If I like most or its a favorite artist, buy CD.

Born this way will be the biggest album release since thriller and you could quote me on that

TFM is the best selling album this year, and it came out last year... despite recovery (eminem, and teenage dream (katy perry)

You don't gotta convince me Leo, she definitely has the worlds attention.  The number of #1's she had in a row was kinda nuts.  How many runs have their been like that?  I think she is definitely one of the more redeemable pop artists lol.  I want more of a sample, but I was a fan of the Fame and Fame Monster.  The beats alone were pretty good.

Although I did like the Teenage Dream song actually, something about it wa scalming and awesome.

I love every single type of music, but the moment I saw lady gaga I knew she was going to change everything, and she became "it".

So who's this "queen" of music?

I refuse to accept this!  How can they be queens?  They are men for crying out loud!!!

Although I will say their hair is pretty long so I guess I could see how some people mistake them for queens and such.

From what I've read the majority of albums are still sold physically, but singles are mainly sold digitally now.

Plus as an interesting anecdote, vinyls sales have been way up for the last few years aswell, though that market of course is relatively insignificant.

I don't even have a CD player anymore, iPod, computer, PS3 are my main and only music players. I haven't bought music in CD because I'll just copy it to my PC and then keep the CD in the closet forever.

And your point is?

Less people in general buy albums and the market is shifting more and more towards singles, which are almost always bought digitally now. But that doesn't change the fact that most albums are still bought physically. Anecdotal accounts really don't matter.

Leo the Prophet.  The Book of Leo:  "One day, a woman will arise wearing a lampshade on her head and heels taller than her, and she will change everything.   So I have seen, so it will be."

Those who do not B_E_L_I_E_V_E will be cast down, made against thy will to listen to naught but Hannah Montana.  THIS, is the word of Leo.  J, that is.

HAHAHAHAHA Born this way to be the next Thriller?! hhahahahahaha

And Freddie was fairly camp to say the least =P

Also I dislike Taylor Swift, her music is grating in the same way Beibers is.

The Fame Monster isn't the best selling album of the year, it isn't even sold seperately in places such as the UK. Eminem's "Recovery" is no.1 in the US and worldwide right now.

well done to her but all in all she'd be nothing without kanye

I disagree. Her first album sold 5 million copies and her second album had sold 5 million copies before the Kanye controversy (this is US only). So I don't really see what Kanye has to do with her success.
