Very bad numbers for Wii though I'm not surprised to see All-Stars having no effect on Wii HW. It's a limited edition for Mario fans. After NSMBWii, how many Mario fans without a Wii are there in Japan? I think you'll have to wait for the red Wii to see some HW bump.

NMH2 did over 10k! XD SUCCESS!!!

I don't know what to say about PS3 HW though. Where's the 25k-40k numbers!? Not that I expected very high numbers but I didn't think PS3 would go down WoW...

It has been said numerous times but: Home Consoles are d0med in Japan.

So can we conclude that the Wii is saturated at the current price point now?

You could also say that people are waiting for the Red Wii release and/or waiting for the Wii Remote Plus to be included with the Wii console. (it will be included starting on 11/11, the same day the red wii is released)

The Wii also still does not include any bundled game in Japan. They really should bundle something with it.

Agreed.  The west has been getting value added bundles for awhile now, Nintendo should seriously consider doing the same for Japan.  Wii Sports at the very least should start getting thrown in.

They should bring back the black Wii w/MH3 bundle around when MHP3 hits, could probably ride the hype a little and move some extra units that way (MH3 actually bumped MHP2G Best sales, thanks to all the franchise awareness with the MH3 ad blitz).  A budget reprint of MH3 is overdue at this point too.

Who says that MHP3 will ever hit (on the Wii)?

Reminds me of those posts that where listening Ni no Kuni Wii and unannounced Level 5 Wii project for a late 2010/11 release.

I don't see the point in it beside giving yourself hope that things will change.

Who says MHP3 will ever hit on Wii?  I certainly didn't. ;)

Level-5 has (wisely) sidestepped Wii/PSP/PS3 in favor of 3DS it's looking like.  Hino's the smartest man in Japan.

Ninokuni is quite possibly the most expensive Level-5 game to date

Saying they have side-stepped the Ps3 is inaccurate considering WKC2 and Ninokuni coming up.

I think Ninokuni is their attempt at creating their own big worldwide brand, like the Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Pokemon series.

The Ps3 version of Ninokuni is an important part of this dream, this plan Hino has. Its vital Ninokuni is big for the future of Level-5....for that they have chosen PS3 and the DS.

They have sidestepped the Wii though....

Well Ninokuni is also coming out for the DS. All I have seen in gaming stores, etc. are posters and info for the DS version. Is the PS3 version coming out at the same time?

Well obviously Ninokuni's the most expensive L5 game to date, it's been in development over 3 years now and they're working with Studio Ghibli on it.  That shit ain't cheap.  :P

Speaking of Ninokuni though, you're aware it started out PS3 only, and they decided to do a DS version later to recoup it's costs, right?  Honestly the way it's looking, the game will probably be their first and last self-published PS3 game (same deal for IE Strikers on Wii and LBX on PSP).  3DS is the future, and Level-5 is ready...

L-5 already has a premier worldwide brand too, in Professor Layton.  Inazuma Eleven has lots of potential too... worldwide, I doubt Ninokuni (DS or PS3) will outsell either series' top sellers.

Wow lots and lots of bombs this week :/
