So we have NPD at 13M and they said some days ago 1.5M in Canada so NA = 14.5M.

Someone needs to go back to school.

Yeah you're right, PS3 is overtaking 360 in Americas.

I dont think he said that actually. Cant speak for Leo, cant say i agree with him either but thats certainly not what i gathered from his bold prediction on a quarterly shipment result.

I was joking??? Clearly.

......It comes across as sarcasm. Sorry.

VGC could be wrong with some number on Latin America like Brazil that was the PS3 launched in August.

Or

Sony OVERSHIPPEDZ A LOT.

Yeah, I'm sure PS3s are flying off the shelf in Brazil where they are selling for over $1000.

Release price... now they are selling between $550 and $1300 (depends on model or bundle)... eg. Playstation 3 Slim PS3 HD 250GB = R$ 1.499,00 ($890).

Two friends mine bought a PS3 this quarter and are selling their 360.

Why are all the other ps3s on this page considerably more expensive?

Anyways, just because you or your friends bought doesn't really tell us a whole lot. It's anecdotal evidenc at best. I'm a bit skeptikal the market is very big because of the piracy and high prices.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

PS3 sales to rise by 100% and xbox 360 sales to go into negatives CONFIRMED!

Forgive him, he tries sarcasm which he hasnt mastered yet.

If Sony shipped more o even close to MS 360'S, it would be the funniest thing in a while. As you know many believe US and UK is the what makes up the World.

Hmmm.

  • EMEAA we expect to be a draw, or slightly in favor of 360 for this quarter, right?
  • Americas we expect 360 to win
  • Japan, clearly the PS3 will win.

So... in order for Leo-J to be right, the difference between how much the 360 beat the PS3 in America, has to be less than how much the PS3 beat the 360 in Japan.

Arguments for this happening are Tretton's statements to the shipped numbers for America.

Hmmm again.  This is possible I think, though I'm hesitant to take the next step that insinuates Sony has sold-through significantly more than Chartz and NPD has them at in Americas.
