Turn Knights of the Old Republic into a film and have the trilogy about Darth Revan.

Noooo!!!!

Its set in the future for sure

So whadya want in the future?

Really? Damn.

OK, well that would mean the Jedi order/council would most likely be nice and big and important. The old cast should be dead if your 1000 yr rumour is true so Luke should be one of the ghost things.

How about, an anchient Sith Lord returns from another galaxy after discovering the hidden powers of the Dark Side (including immortality, but with many more unseen powers). He returns having conquered said galaxy and with an armada of ships filled with Sith and Madalorians, sets about a plan to conquer the (main Star Wars) galaxy. Have a big war between Jedi and Sith etc. The descendents of the Skywalker line must try to prevent this from happening.... you get the idea. Oh, and most of the Skywalker family must die with at least one turning to the Dark Side, and Gungans are extinct due to natural selection i.e. the entire galaxy get annoyed and wipe them out.

And some decent acting would be nice.

And at least one Jedi needs a Purple lightsaber...

I don't like the 1000 years in the future thing.

Star Wars already happens in the future why take it further? The design of the spaceship would have to change so much it would not feel like a Star Wars movie enymore, the IA would be more evolved than the humans so all the battles will happen between robots.

I would like to see a 50-60 years in the future sequel, so the people still remembers the Skywalker Clan and the thread of the Emperor, but they don't have to use the old actors (maybe for a small cameo).

You don't read the beginning of the films do you?

So I suppose eventually the absolutely final entry in the Star Wars saga will have a Battlestar Galactica-type ending?

Are we talking old series or new. C'os I only watched the old series and I don't want to know the ending to the new series until I've watched the whole thing.

The new one. Don't want to spoil it for you. and those who have seen it may probably understand what I'm talking about anyways. So I'll not mention any more about this.

i would like to see Darth Vader decapitate George Lucas with a Lightsaber

That is not an acceptable answer.

We shouldn't dream of harming legendary film makers like George Lucas.

Legendary??? LOL, the guy only made one good movie in his entire career!

If George Lucas isn't legendary neither is Shigeru Myamoto or Hideo Kojima.

You under-estimate how much influence his film have had on movies.

Fixed! He's only has two good movie in his fimlography (the first Star Wars movie and American Graffiti). He's actually been a pretty lazy director after Star Wars, having directed only 6 movies overall.

Miyamoto has created more successful franchises than any other video game creator out there, and Kojima has created several acclaimed games (though they're all part of the same franchise, so he's probably not much better than Lucas, with the exception that he's made more than one good game in the Metal Gear franchise, while Lucas has only made one good Star Wars movie).

Your opinion isn't fact sapphi, just because you say he's made 1 good movie doesn't mean its true

George Lucas has 6 amazing movies in his filmography according to me and they are all "good" according to rottentomatoes ranking system. (anything over 60% is "good" in the movie % world.....they go froma  0 to 10 scale there)

If someone is legendary or not is determined through how they influenced movies and Star Wars has been one of the most influential brands.

you clearly do not know how much of an impact Skywalker Sound has had or the SFX department. George Lucas had a hand to play in all of those things. Heck even the THX Sound system company was founded in favour of George....and we know how big that became.

the Dicovery Channel put George Lucas into the top 100 greatest americans ever.

It isn't a matter of opinion that George Lucas is a legendary figure in the film industry, it is actually a fact.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

@darth

Boy, your hard on for Lucas is almost as big as leo-J's for Lady GaGa. At least he get's hard for woman-ish things.

short version

Episode 7: Luke is in the process of rebuilding the Jedi order. Leia has been named chancellor of the "New Republic". all is going good, remaining clone troopers have been made the temporary army of the "New Republic".

then the movie will take us to a dark planet at the end of the galaxy, where the main villian is revealed, a young humanoid Sith Lord that Emperor Sidious had been training to replace Darth Vader

Plot: the young sith lord has been told of a method of returning fallen Sith form the force (like when obi wan and Yoda had appeared at the end of episode 6) Luke meanwhile had been communicating through the force with Obi Wan, Yod and Qui-Gon Jinn , where the apparent disturbance in the force is sensed. he goes to find out what's going on with his new apprentice, daughter of Anikins apprentice Ashoka Tano (who reveals her mom was killed in the Jedi purge).

ends with them finally seeing the Sith lord as him an Luke get into a dual, where the Sith escapes. roll credits

Episode 8: was gonna wirte something as long as did before but I'm to lazy  so:

yadda yadda yadda, sith lord opens portal sith return pwn's the new jedi order

Episode 9: old jedi return, most epic battle of all time, sith lose, portal closes, everyone returns to the force, sith lord gets killed by Luke, return balance to the blah blah blah

after credits: seemingly dead dead sith lord hand generically burst from ground bring on 10, 11 and 12 lol

Conmsidering that this movie would take place 1000 years after Return of the Jedi, Luke sure would be one lazy bastard.
