That entire video pertains only to the US right? I ask this because he mentioned 20M PS3 being sold.Of course this is shipped, but VGChartz has all of Americas at 15.7M. Is 4.3M unsold in the US consistent for this time of the year?

I wonder what the shipment numbers next week will look like.

Haha curious....PS3 undertracked by one million? Lol j/k

In before the shipped vs sold vs cameras vs whats the definition of a Move - they ship units, not items. 1m units have been shipped in the US, 2m more estimated for the following two months. Those units comes as a Move controller, bundles, packs and starter kits. Much like how everything else is reported when it comes to sales numbers.

As for the quote below..

Its most likely US numbers! Not sure what the numbers usually are during this time of the year, but last year between Oct 25th, 2009 - Jan 02nd, 2010.. PS3 sold 2.3m units in the US. They did predict an increase of 2m this year world wide, but i find it hard to see that there's 4.3m PS3s in stores at this point in time. That would be some serious bulk ups from stores heading into the holidays.

Then again, they did have alot of problems with shortages last year, so they might've taken that into account heading into this year. But my gut says the numbers aren't right, and they seem to have been off for quite some time now, and adjustments have been made. But it is a guesstimate website afterall.

LIES, all lies.

I've preempted your curiosity a few posts higher.  YOU LOSE.

On a serious note though lol, do you know how many are normally on shelves, does it change dramatically by season?  Obviously a little, but how much?

From now on I always wait at least 3 months to trust in VGC sales for PS3 because there are massive adjustments to the Sony console.

In the last quarter had more more than 500k adjustments for PS3.

Not sure. 1.5/2 Million WW sounds possible.

One thing's for sure... When those shipment numbers come in it's gonna be interesting!!
