Poll: 3DS or PSP2? Which handheld will YOU be buying in 2011?

3DS all the Way! Nintendo for Life! 415 63.55%

PSP2 of course! Sony's set to dominate! 238 36.45%

Total:653

Hmm which one do i go for?

The amazingly built yet rediculously expensive system that will have tonnes of awesome games and will appeal to the HARDCORE market, but the console will then probably suffer due to the fuck ups of a certain company.

Or do i go for the underpowered, overpriced, gimmicky money printer full of shovelware games?

I prefer the first option...

Either way...about SONY effing it up they need to include the following...

1. That big and pretty screen looks like its going to get cracked even if you leave it in your damn pocket, make sure its well built and shock resistant too.

2. Give it a decent battery life, 5 hours per charge, i would rather have extra battery life rather than a HD screen.

3. SONY are going to need to save space, they have to get rid of UMD's and opt for 100gb flash memory or something.

4. For launch games, i recommend remakes of MGS4, FFXIII and UC2. Along with many new games series rather than sequels.

EDIT: This post, and the one referenced below, have been moderated. -d1

I'm not gonna vote.  I don't enjoy nintendo's IP's nearly as much as Sony's however, I give full support for 3D.

I will say this though. The one thing that will be the deciding factor = Monster Hunter.

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2

Shovelware? I didn't know the 3DS and its games released. I want your crystal ball.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Yeah, you can get crystal balls on eBay for like <£100.

Anyway, the launch titles are mostly "same old" Nintendo games or just remakes. And this is Nintendo we are talking about here, if they stopped making shovelware games they are throwing away their liscense to print money.

The problem for me is that the adding 3D is really just a ''visual'' upgrade, and the 3DS seems to be severely underpowered to give you a really visually immersive experience. Therefore i don't think the 3DS will satisfy in the long run.

The PSP2 could be a very interesting product, and surely is going to be a lot more powerfull than the 3DS with rumours stating the possible use of the Nvidia Tegra 2 chip(with the old Tegra chipset already being much more powerfull than the 3DS).

for now it's rumors vs facts.

But it's most prob gonna be psp for me

It's all about personal preference, tho I will buy the 3ds eventually if both come out in the same year I'll buy the PSP2 in a heartbeat cuz for me the games on the psp is just way way better overall

lol, yeah, the 3DS lineup is pretty much anything but sholveware.  Well, at least Japan side... Majesco/THQ seem to be the main shovelware culprits.  And EA's usual "clueless on Nintendo" crap.  :/

Sony adventure games>>>>>>>>>>>>>Nintendo adventure games

Oh well, to each his own, I suppose...

OT: The 3DS, but only because I've yet to see any games shown for the system. I honestly don't think the 3DS's launch lineup is as glamorous as many others think. I don't care about the remakes, and Kid Icarus looks more like Sin & Punishment than Kid Icarus. (But that's another issue for another time and another thread...)

Eh, wut?  Nintendo's like the antithesis of shovelware... even their casual games tend to be carefully considered, high quality and (comparably) high budget projects.

If you want shovelware, then give Ubisoft a call... though their 3DS lineup is actually pretty okay looking even.
