Just because they're at equal paces doesn't mean it will win.

If it did i wouldn't care.

1. i already have a 60gb with b/c
2. theres a lot of good games for ps3 now that you don't need b/c
3. if you wanna play your ps2 games that badly, hook up your ps2

 ahhh, I didn't know that. I thought it was 100% emulation. Thanks crazzyman and ssj12.

From my source at Sony:

Hi,
The current 40gb plays PS one games already. The unit does not have the
backwards compatibility for PS2 games.

We have made no announcement regarding a new version of the 40gb PS3.

I know this hasn't been the first time I have been told one thing and another happened. If I get any news, I'll let you know.

In the meantime, I am gonna quiz that associate again.

yes, PS3 40gb reading PS2 could be great.
A software emulation could be a solution,
but,
can they do it ?

this is what I think will happen eventually. From what I have heard, they can do it with few games, but the task is quite monumental and will be a very time consuming task to get it to work properly. They won't push anything with this until they can get at least 70% or higher emulated.


 Yet Sony said they wouldn't put anymore money into bakwords compatability.  Guess they could just be lying again... but they usally lie on the side of selling more consoles, not less.

 Why would you say that?  You know he's just going to bust out the same old tired list of games that you've seen a thousand times that are "Going to catapult the PS3 way ahead of the 360."

I'm not sayin they will, not saying they won't.  Just sayin i'm tired of those 3 games repeatidly getting brought up in like EVERY thread.
