Forums - Sales - Move to outsell kinect 2010?

According to sony they have sold around 2.5 million move controllers in just North America, Latin America, and Europe, move launched today in japan...

it's likely that sony sells another 3 million controllers by the end of the year, with the holiday season approaching, over 5 million move controllers may have been sold by the end of december...

microsoft expects to sell 3-4 million kinect the holidays...

But, but, but... I thought we only tracked the PS3 vs 360 with aligned launches!?

When you say move, you're referring just to the wand, or the couple of controllers, or the entire pack with camera wand nav....?

Well, for starters they're shipped, and it doesn't sound like it'll be getting another big shipement in NA if the sold numbers are anything to go by.

A better comparison would be Sports Champions Vs. 80% of Kinect Adventure sales, or w/e ration ioi has SC at, at the time. So as we can see how many homes both controllers have penetrated.

Damnit Leo J, now if Kinect sells better we're gonna have to hear about it for two years.  They sold well so far, hopefully it continues.  With Microsoft's massive marketing I'm gonna say no.  That way I'll be happier if it does! lol

doubt it, with the amount of money microsoft is puttin behind kinect in advertising it will outsell move, weather its better or not.... but i do think move will be more successful in the long run than microsoft's kinect.

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

Keep dreaming, I just LOVE how people conveniently ignore that the numbers released by SONY are shipments and not sold to consumers (and this is proven by the software numbers).

Kinect is going to steamroll Move.

seece it's beyond obvious that the move is undertracked here OR it's doing very well in smaller makets that vgchartz doesn't track... and not only that but the NPD never released any move figures, in fact it's far more likely pachter was quoting vgchartz, not NPD...

also, if they shipped 1 million units, and are upping production, it's likely that it's because the demand exceeds the supply (they said ) and the individual move controller is sold out

@mr metralha: Nobody really knows for sure what it refers to...here's what I think.  One sports champions bundle=1 move controller.  1 Move controller=1 move controller.  1 Nav controller=1 move controller.  1 playstation move bundle=1 move controller.  Technically they are all 1 move controller, so it is reasonable that they would use that number.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.
