I just love how at first people thought Move would be lucky to shift 2M by years end and now we find that it has already shifted 2.5M plus whatever it sells in Japan starting today, so we can assume 3M is a given right now right? Speaking in terms of shipped.

So it could have already shifted what MS is expecting Kinect to shift this holiday season and if Pachter is correct (Which I doubt), it could actually outsell MS' Kinect estimates.

Anyone who thinks it is a failure right now is out of their mind. I am unsure if the goal posts can be moved back any further now. Any further and they are in the stands.

You, darth, and Carl are really rubbing a lot of stuff in lately.

OT: Move is doing better than I expected it would do.

Wait till GT5 CGI, more rubbing in will be done {*cough* 5 million LTD predictions by some *cough*}

My money is still on Black Friday week for GT5, if not then I am sure it will drop by the first week of December. It has Move control, it would be foolish to have it miss the holiday season, plus LBP2 releases in Jan. It would be stupid to release both by that time and even more retarded to hold off GT5 till 2nd quarter 2011 or later.

Quote me on late Nov. to early Dec.

I hope it comes on Black Friday too, it would be a major coup!

I can imagine the GT5 with HD TV/3D TV promotions SONY could drum up.

But I had some people in a different thread the other day trying to tell me that GT5 will get completely overshadowed on Black Friday and wouldn't sell well!!!!

LOL GT5 OVERSHADOWS other things..........IT does not get overshadowed!!!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

What will overshadow it? Television and BD player sales?

You know, there is a reason why Wii and NDS released during the same week right?

Black Friday week or better yet early December GT5 will have the limelight all to itself, plus it will benefit from possible increased Move sales and better advertising.

We aren't rubbing it in, we are just being hospitable and serving the crow. It is undeniable that week after week we hear about how Move is not selling well and once Pachter said it sold less than expectations many people jumped on it and treated it as gospel, yet now he states that he underestimated it and people are ignoring it and continuing the "stuffing the channel" talk.

The damn thing is going to sell at least, if not more than what MS is expecting Kinect to shift this season and they still treat it like it is no big deal, even though the numbers already surpass what people expected it is shift from Sept-Dec 2010.

Anyways, what makes this even more impressive is that it was done with a severe lack of advertising.

anything with SONY stamped sells

even PSPgo sold some

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

They sold 2.5mio units in just 30 days and that moronic Pachter thinks they sell another 0.5-1mil in the coming two months (which includes Xmas season and Japan)...

What a complete loser this Pachter is... unbelievably stupid

I'd have to re-read the statement, but Pachter almost always only predicts numbers for USA, so if he predicted 3-3.5m that is 2-2.5m more units in US alone...

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

If that is true then that is absolutely incredible, although not entirely surprising considering how it has done so far without the Coca Cola advertising kicking in yet. Or any big time advertising for that matter.

Christmas has always been Coca Cola in the US. Evident by the Santa Claus cans and bottles as long as I can remember.

It could end up that this entire site severely misjudged Move.

I would say running ads with every football game fairly significant advertising. I know people keep on saying there is none, but I've seen a lot of ads for Move and I don't watch a lot of TV besides football and a few shows like Chuck.

As for misjudging Move, everyone, including Pachter, was reporting low numbers, so it comes as no surprise that people would think it did poorly. Overall, I'll reserve my judgement when we see end of year numbers and how the software does. When I last made a comment about how it is doing I said it had to sustain or increase sales based on VGC numbers and it seems to be doing that.

Yeah most people buy 2. I agree.

Also shipped could possibly mean sold.

The game stores actually buy from sony, so technically sony sold them.

Football games are only once or twice a week and Dante's Inferno proved that Football commercials do not equal success.

As for the Pachter comment, he just commented that he in fact underestimated Move's success. You know this of course since it is part of your quote that I posted, so why bring up his previous estimate?

I am confused.
