Forums - Gaming - Do you remember the first game you ever beat without using a cheat...?

..or looking up the solution?

Mine was: The Secret of Monkey Island.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I played games before the internet so I probably played 90% of any Nes/Snes/Gameboy/N64 games without  cheating (used a few guides in magazines, though--but rarely).  Nowadays, I probably use guides/tips on about 40-50% of games I play.
