Blah, blah, blah, more disc space, too hard to compress, blah, blah, blah. If Halo Reach, Fallout, Fable, Gears, Alan Wake and many others can fit on one disk with no problems then there is something wrong with the way they are making their game.

Off topic: Why is it that only the people with Sony/Nintendo stuff in their avy's/Sigs post negative stuff on this forum? I doubt this guy even plays his 360 much and thats if he has one.

The game has a lot of pre-rendered cutscenes. Even though the game length is like 4-6 hours (not counting cutscenes).

Now I wont feel so bad when it sell poorly, I mean come on, 6 hours at most?

Platnum games is as shocked at that game length estimate as you are...

This game is on my must buy radar. If it is proven that this game is only 4-6 hours I will bargain bin it. However if this is proven false I will day 1 this game.

I'm not paying 65 dollars for a 4-6 hour game, that is ridiculous.

It took me 5:40 to finish on hard (this apparently doesn't count cutscenes time, nor time spent retrying). So, the real time must be like 8-9 hours. And now there's a god hard difficulty and a challenge mode to complete and some statues throughout the game to find (like bayonetta's crows).

But I really like this game, so I think it's worth.

First one: How can you be sure that these developers had no problems fitting these games on one disk. They could have a lot of problems, but not everyone is complaining, you know. (note: I said they "...could have...")

About that off topic thing: Ugh, sry, but you know how damn stupid that sounds, do you. It's not only Sony/Nintendo fans, don't be stupid. But if you want to ignore negative threads and comments made by 360fans, then... go on.

I would be surprised if you post a reply to that...

I don't really care about the Xbox 360, but the thing I hate about the limited DVD space is when devolopers have the option to include a Japanese voice track for the PS3 version and don't include the track because they want to keep both versions the same.

It happened with FFXIII and it recently happened again with Sengoku Basara 3.

If you have the option just do it, negate the others. It's not the fault of the PS3 that the others are using a dated storage disc.

Go away. Same goes for Snfr.

Well the X360 hold pretty well over the years with the DVD storage even with some minor sacrifices here and there and some multiple disc games.

In the next two years or so it's successor will be out already... by the way, Sony is one of the owners of the blu-ray patent isn't it?

it is a bit of a problem, but maybe if people stopped trying to show off with needless cinematics or ancillary dialog things wouldn't be so bad. And that means for ALL developers. I'm looking forward to Vanquish, but when the beginning cut scene exceeds the double digit mark you might want to consider scaling things back.

now theres a thought!

i think they should just start making all games for 360 down load only. that way space won't be an issue.

I wish they would make public how much it cost for 2 Xbox 360 DVDs vs. 1 PS3 Blu-Ray.  A Blu-Ray disc is more expensive than a dual-layer DVD so it would come down to Microsoft's licensing fee on a second disc.

Whats wrong with you? Its a fact... THIS IS a Different game, its not one of those that you wrote, ok? Whats wrong with DEVELOPERS complainging about space??? ...seriously... there was NO, not even ONE flame!

I find it funny thatwhen developers complained about programming for the PS3's architecture compared to the Xbox 360's there were people calling them lazy developers and now that they're complaining about disc space some of the same people that bashed them before are now supporting them.

Blu-rays were $1.60 back in 2006 or $0.064 per gigabyte. It is reasonable to suppose they are some $1.00 to produce now, $0.04 per GB. Dual-layered DVDs cost $0.30 or about $0.038 per GB.

Now that's a huge difference. Seems like totally worth it to have 3 DVDs instead of a single BD and spare six tenths of a cent!

It's not like companies pay per gigabyte, they pay per disc so it doesn't matter the cost per GB.  It's not like Sony will charge one company 1/5 the price that they charge another if they used that that much less space.  I'm just curious about how close the actual cost of pressing 2 Xbox 360 game discs compared to 1 PS3 Blu-Ray discs.  Or if Sony charges the same amount for 1 PS3 Blu-Ray as Microsoft charges for 1 Xbox 360 Dual-Layer.
