I bought around 20 games so far this year but around 10-15 of them were at 20$ or lower. I love deals.

I buy around 30 games per year.

I usually buy 15 - 20 a year, this year I've bought 17 so far, 9 being on release

Around 10 new full-price.  5-6 new when they hit $30-40 and a couple used when I have to.  I rarely rent now.  I only keep around 30-35 and sell off some fairly new games while they're still worth something.

The Gamerscore League shows an average of 94 games owned.  One popular bloke has 950 for the 360 alone.  Now that's dragging up the old tie ratio.  Incredible.

What I bought this year so far...

Games: Metroid Prime Trilogy, Metroid: Other M, Muramasa, The Deamon Blade and Torchlight.

Controllers: 2 Wiiremotes, 2 nunchucks , 2 motion plus, 1 classic controller and 1 gamecube controller.

What I'm going to buy next year: Skyward Sword,  Rune Factory Frontier, Red Steel II and probably Donkey Kong Country Returns.

I only bought 6 games this year because I lost my job, but I have 59 games divided by 4 years = 14.75 games per year.

A dozen or so, attachment rates are so low because of all the people who buy a system a couple games then shove it in their closet and forget about it.

Bought 20 so far this year. X360: 4, PS3: 4, PS2: 1, PSP: 1 and PC: 10. I love steam and its crazy offers. =P
