next week is last chance for PS3 outsold 360 in October

I doubt PS3's gonna outsell 360 till GT5 launch

I mean Kinect is gonna launch soon, PS3 has no system seller except GT5 left this year.

Move and a new model of White PS3 is coming out in Japan next week (2 weeks from now in the data). And I thought it was at the start of the month but apparently the 160 GB PS3 is launching in Europe too.

Oh I didn't know that.....especially the white model, Japan goes crazy for new colours.

Then its definetely possible PS3 may be ahead of 360 in 2 weeks time (time in terms of the data)

just new model

i cant find any news about PS3 Move Bundle in Japan

is there really no Bundle?

Wii will be #1 this Holiday like always...Wii Party just showed me that people who want a Wii can wait to buy one and just because a new game comes out doesn't mean that they will rush to get the console like with the PS3 and 360. Wii Party will have massive legs in the end and K.E.Y, Just Dance 2, UDraw, and D.K.C.R as well as the Red Wii will all help the Wii be #1 again this Holiday.  As for the rest of October the Wii should be going up every week while the PS3 and 360 may start going down until November comes along.

Prediction Holiday 2010:(Final 10 weeks Total)

Japan: Wii>PS3>360

Others: Wii>360>PS3

America: Wii>360>PS3

W.W: Wii>360>PS3

But the problem is that during the same time frame developing expenses have risen even more than console sales. Most publishers are really struggling to make profit even though gaming market is bigger than it was last gen.

We are still in a global recession.  Gaming isn't the only industry that has companies struggling to make a profit, laying off employees and closing shop completely.  The fact that its still doing as well as it is DESPITE being a luxury in recession actually speaks more to the strength of the industry that its decline.

By the way, I keep reading on this thread and others here that the 360>PS3 install base is down to 5.1 after adjustments.  Is this not reflected on the main page, because it shows 5.7 there?

Im glade to see 360 still on top, I expect it to remain that way through the holidays

43.8 - 38.7 = 5.1

Unless you are seeing other numbers.

Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

Awesome HD Numbers. Great sales for PS3 and X360.

I'm more lolling at the Wii Japan Numbers. Each week the PS3 and Wii weekly sale gap gets larger. Can someone tell me why that's happening in Japan? Have they just really lost interest in the Wii and PS3 just picking up really well?

And unfortunately Castlevania and Enslaved flopped... Though I kinda thought that Enslaved would flop but I hope to see Castlevania have good legs.

It may be the Move's coming release.  Japan may begin to slowly replace their Wii's with PS3's and Moves.  Maybe not.  But I do see Move being well recieved in Japan.

And wow at the new 360/PS3 gap.  So PS3 can reduce the gap again, even with it being outsold by the 360 on a weekly basis.  Man, it truly can do EVERYTHING!

Indeed. I tried to find a rational explanation for that, but I eventually had to give up and admit that faith is greater than reason and conclude that we must give t3h C3ll credit for it: it's a SPU, Supernatural Processing Unit!!!  O-)

Thanks.  Using Chrome and had to clear my cache.  It was still showing 43.7 and 38.0.

I don't know why you guys can't find rational reason for Japan sales.

It's very simple - PS3 has new game releases, Wii doesn't.
