Wow, big adjustement from the sales. Last week i remember the PS3-Xbox360 gap being around 5.6, and now it got back to 5.1. That is like 0.5 Milliones adjustments. Make me thinks that the Xbox360 was not destroying the PS3 as much as we though

Not at current rates, PS3 dropped harder this week than 360. That said MS financials next friday, that could mean adjustments either way.

at the current rate, they are getting closer each week

Well the PS2, Gamecube, and original Xbox combined sold 27 million units in Japan.

This gen, they are only up to 17 million. I predict it will be at 27 million in about 2 years.

Something to consider is console prices are higher this gen and none of them appealed to the masses like PS2. Also, Japan loves playing the same old shit. Handhelds offer the same tired gameplay they love.

PS3 dropped in sheer units more than 360 did this week. If THIS trend (aka current rate) continues, how is the PS3 going to get ahead?

I'll probably buy a 3DS,but nothing past that. They would have come up with something like vitrual reality for me to buy any systems next gen. lol

You are quoting adjustment that just happened, No the PS3 was not this close to the 360 all last week until today. The gap was much bigger between the two before the adjustment. Anyways, the PS3 will be ahead next week.
