EA have Battlefield dude.. Just because MoH isn't that great doesn't mean they should surrender.. Battlefield is a much better game than MoH and is different to CoD, they can coexist in the market.
Should EA surrender the War FPS genre to Activision? | |||

Agree. I enjoyed COD4 and im not happy with the lack of real new maps on BC2..but BF is just awesome. I dont know what the hell happened with MOH.
BF3 anyone, will dominate 2011 over the next cod.
Oh dont worry Activison will milk the cow dry, then sell the meat, process the bones before surrender that COD is dead. just like tony hawk and going to be guitar hero.
Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong
BattleField Bad Company 2 was supposed to give CoD:MW2 a run for its money. EA even hoped it could out perform it, however it did not. Now EA is talking about packing it in for Medal Of Honour if it doesn't sell 3-million units. That would be a big mistake in my opinion EA should give Medal Of Honour to Respawn Entertainment let some of the founders of Infinity Ward work on the next one.
I guess I should have said Medal of Honour instead of Military Genre. I never thought of BattleField because I always only purchased Medal Of Honour or CoD. Actually I've never even played BattleField:BadCompany2 because I didn't really like the first BattleField.

This
Also, what about all the FPS games that are not made by EA or Activision?

EA has more FPS IPs than Activision ever dreamed off

NO. They make money on them you know? So why should they give up, just BC CoD is selling better? Money is money no matter what and even with mediocre review scores IMO MoH will still likely push ~ 4 million on 3 platforms

The only thing that will bring activision's war machine down is activision themselves. I think cod franchise will start dying after 2-3 more cod games unless they do some kind of reboot where it's in the future or something.
MoH sucks so they should bury that but I'm pretty sure the newly formed Respawn Entertainment, formerly Infinity Ward will have something to say for it. Also Battlefield:BC3 will be their true war shooter. There was no need for MoH in the first place. It was a rushed product that they wanted to push out to contend with COD this year to make some money.
