There's so much homeless dogs out there, including many of pure stock, so why spend that much money on one? Unless you really really like that breed so go ahead in that case. But I'd adopt a dog if I wanted one and still buy the 3DS when it gets out.

Don't you have a stable job ? get the dog, and by the time the 3DS releases you will have enough to buy it.

personally I'd go with the 3DS since you already have a dog. I would never want to own multiple pets at the same time. One dog is enough to take care of.

I say dog. There will be millions of 3ds's, but how many dogs exactly like that one?

One will make you happy by providing you with entertainment.

The other will always be by your side for 10-12 years and form a bond like no other.

Don't buy animals

Get the best of both worlds, Nintendogs AND Nintencats.  In 3D.  Then get another game.  Then get a Border Collie in a few months if you still need one.  Then take 3D pictures of both your dogs with your 3DS.

Go.For.The.Dog

Dogs are way better then a console which you can buy anytime.
