Such is the power of Mario and Sonic merged together in a sports game.
What I find interesting though is that most of its sales came from EMEAA.
Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!
Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Thats because sonic is huge in europe lol
Wii's third party curse has more to do with Nintendo's business practices than the 3rd parties themselves.
If only PS3 was easier to develop for, almost everything would be on ps3 instead of wii.

As a Wii owner, I have bought SEVERAL 3rd party games so I hate when I read the same old "Nintendo fans only buy Nintendo games". If your game is good, chances are I will support it. Problem is, most third parties have given me little reason to spend any money on, let alone $50.
Third party Wii games I own (or once owned): RE4, RE:UC, House of the Dead: Overkill, Zack and Wiki, Tony Hawk Downhill Jam, Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, Dawn of Discovery, Super Monkey Ball, Madworld, The Conduit, Red Steel, Red Steel 2, Little King's Story, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Monster Hunter Tri. There are probably more, this is just off the top of my head. So yeah, I've done my part :P
@azreal never thought about it like that, you've given me something to think about, but HD games are more expensive to produce for anyway so wouldnt devs have to spend more money on those by default???
@metallicube & conegamer those are alot of games you guys listed so im assuming you enjoyed them. So really its your fellow Wii owners who are limiting themselves to just Ninty games. Im no saying all of them do but ive lost count on how many posts I read about some guy not wanting to play anything but Ninty games cause they are the "best" If 3rd parties are making games that people refuse to buy, what more can they do?? Any body who wants to make money will move their product to a market where they will get some sales. (PS360)
...Sure, Nintendo could have done more for them...
but I cannot, I repeat, CANNOT give any type of respect to people who would drop $300m on an MMO, and spend $250m advertising a game. Then, they stick their fingers in their ears when their PS3/360 games flop and yet blame their entire companies failure on one Wii game with a budget below the CEO's salary.
How many bombs have Capcom and Namco made recently? Tecmo? Square Enix? Konami?
Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. " thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Well I would assume people online are a vocal minority. I mean, even the "casual" market made third party games that appealed to them into hits, so there is a third party aucience. Just they need to make more games to attract more support. They need to get over this idea that Wii owners are beholden to buy their games, and realize that they are beholden to make more games for the Wii owners. Even Nintendo is beholden to their customers, not the other way around.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
@savior x you got a point but to be fair they have flops on all kinda platforms the diff. between Wii and HDs is that they can at least get a hit on HD consoles. I think I can count on one hand how much core games that was made by a 3rd party that did gread numbers that was released in the past two years
@lordtheknight but dont you see thats what they have been doing??? who do you think the carnival games, biggest loser, all those shovelware games are for??? When it comes to Wii the casual audience is much higher. lets be real here if Just Dance cost less to make than say a Final Fantasy game and it sells more than said FF game. YOu would be crazy not to do Just Dance on Wii. I think some core Wii gamers just have to accept that the Wii is not like the HD consoles, it was not supposed to be. At this late stage in the game there are 2 things a Wii gamer can do. Put their Ninty dogma away and just buy a damn console that has more quality 3rd party support or convince the million of casuals to stop buying Just Dances and WiiWhatever and buy more MUramasa, Red Steel, etc. I think the 1st choice is easier
