The game looks so damn whimsical and fun, reminds me of the oldschool platformers of the early 90s. I might just wait this out for christmas though, I already have a huge back log of games to play and Minecraft is still taking up most of my gaming time. Plus this way at christmas I can have TWO new 2D platformers to play, this and Donkey Kong! When was the last time I could say that??

So I just got this game, already through some levels and I can say it's awesome. One of the best Kirby games ever released in my opinion. 

Just to begin, KEY feels truly like game of it's generation for me, unlike Kirby 64 or even NSMBWii who felt pratically like SNES games ported with better graphics. Meaning you have a lot of extras, some story, voice acting, better sound effects etc. 

The whole thing is so damn cute that I feel a sort of guilty pleasure on playing it. I don't know how to express it properly, KEY has sort of the dreamy and childish feel of Yoshi's Island which I like very much. It's a bit more slow paced compared with previous Kirby games (meaning less action) but the scenery and the variety means you don't get bored too easily.

It is also a very easy game. While it can be a bad thing for some, I particularly like it in this case. You simply can't get angered playing KEY.

 Well so that's it guys if you are needing something more than media reviews to get this game. There's still two-player mode which I still have to test. I strongly recommend it, and that's coming from a hardcore PC gamer. Also a great game to give a children as a gift I guess. Bet my little 5-yo cousin will love it when she comes to play.

I'm getting the impression that metacritic has something against Kirby's Epic Yarn XD. They haven't added a few 100 scores yet, though they quickly added Kombo's score of 65 ~ http://kombo.com/reviews/Kirbys_Epic_Yarn_Review/ ~ .

Edit: That webpage isn't even working now for some reason. Maybe Nintendo found out and destroyed them ^_^ ?

On Metacritic it says that Kombo gave the game 6 out of 10... although the link to the review does not work and it doesn't seem to be in their list of reviews either (maybe they deleted the article or something? The site is kind of a mess so it's hard to say, maybe just some error)

It's funny that one full stop can really shag it all up! and 9.5/10! fuck you kombo and your 6.5/10.  Such a shame.
